This card turned out somewhat rustic which is just what I love. As always, there is a starting point and this time it was the banner stamped in Crumb Cake.
I highlighted the edges with the Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Combo to give it some added definition. Then, using a mask I blended Crumb Cake ink very lightly over the white space.
Some Flat Jingle Bell Trinkets and a Linen bow add fullness to this banner.
For our Step into Christmas theme of the #30DayChristmasCardMakingChallenge I have pretty much taken a literal look at this.
One of the first decorations that go up in our home is the wreath on the front door and any visitor has to step through our front door to come in, hence the ‘step into Christmas’. I stamped a background using Pear Pizzazz and Shaded Spruce ink and then die cut the wreaths from this piece of Cardstock. I felt the wreath really pops against the Black timber background.
A few splatters of White embossing and a simple sentiment completes this card which I would say has a bit of a modern twist with it’s Black base.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful week ahead.
It’s Something White for Day 11 of the #30DayChristmasCardMakingChallenge. This means the predeminant colour of the card has to be white. I love having white space in a card and really enjoyed creating this using a very simple design.
I’ve added a little bit of Balmy Blue and Gray Granite to this card. I embossed 3 strips of Basic White Cardstock with the Hive Embossing Folder which formed my backdrop for the rest of my elements. The Vellum circle was layered on a scalloped circle which I blended on the edges with Balmy Blue ink.
I added the cute bunny from the Peaceful Deer stamp set. The die cut leaves have been embellished with Wink of Stella (a little bit hard to see on the photo). I love the CAS look of this card with the clean white look.
All products used to make this card are listed at the bottom of this post. Click on any image to be taken to my Online Store where you can place your order or you can contact me to place your order.
