The Stamping Lounge Mystery Stamping – Country Flowers

Today, on the Stamping Lounge FB we had a Hello and Release party. Kayla, Maheswari and I introduced ourselves and shared a little bit about what is in The Lounge, what you can expect to find in there and all the fun to be had. If you missed out on my announcement the other day when we launched, check out all about The Stamping Lounge HERE.

During our FB Live, we had Mystery Stamping. Kayla created a card Live and everyone created something using the project dimensions below.

Here is the card I created using the Country Flowers bundle. I used a Pool Party card base and added the Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper as my largest panel.

I blended some ink on the Basic White piece and added some splatters with the Pebbled Path Stampin’ Blend. For my final strip I added a piece of Pool Party striped DSP from the Subtles collection of Designer Series Paper.

An image coloured with Stampin’ Blends and a sentiment were added from the White scraps.

Check out Kayla and Maheswari’s cards below. The PDFs of all our projects will be available to our members.

CASEing the Catty CTC479 – CASE the Mediterranean Blooms Suite

Hello friends, Welcome to CASEing the Catty Challenge CTC479. To CASE is to Copy and Selectively Edit and this week we are CASEing the Mediterranean Blooms Suite from Page 34 of the Annual Catalogue.

I’m CASEing the card on the top right with the frame and the 2 features of lemons on either corner. I’ve swapped out the lemons for the flowers from the Enduring Beauty Stamp Set. This stamp set comes with a set of dies and masks. For my card, I coloured the image with Stampin’ Blends wanting to create a riot of bright colourful flowers (trying to combat our cold winter!).

I used the same background frame from the Citrus Blooms dies, die cutting the image out 3 times and layering to create depth in the frame. As this was an intricate die I adhered an Adhesive Sheet to the back of Basic White Cardstock prior to cutting the die cuts which made this a much easier task.

I then die cut my floral image with the outer frame so it kept the same shape as the frame, adding some extra flowers and leaves for depth. This was a new technique for me and I really enjoyed it. Hope you give it a try.

I used the outer part of the frame to die cut the Full of Life Designer Series Paper and adhered the layered white frame onto it. On the card base I added a matte layer of embossed Berry Burst cardstock which was blended with Berry Burst ink for a deeper shade adding shadow and depth.

A simple sentiment completes my card along with some shiny sequins.

CASEing the Catty CTC476 – Card Sketch

Welcome to the CASEing the Catty Challenge CTC476. Today our team are CASEing one of the sketches from Page 68 of the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue and ironically it’s from the ‘Sketched’ Butterflies bundle.

I love sketches and they are my go-to as I start a project. There’s so many ways to interpret it and I’m looking forward to seeing what our team creates using this sketch.

I used the partial die cutting technique to replicate this sketch. I stamped and die cut the image from the Enduring Beauty stamp set. Placing only the section of the image that I wanted to cut out in the sandwich of the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, the other half of the image remains in tact.

Under this I layered a piece of Summer Splash Cardstock which gave a nice shadow effect for the sketch.

Instead of a banner I stamped the sentiment from the Everyday Greetings stamp set, directly onto the Cardstock. This stamp set will be available as part of our new Online Exclusives release on the 5thof July. With loads of sentiments in beautiful fonts, this is one you will want to add to your collection.

On the base, I added some Summer Splash Designer Series Paper from our 2024-2026 In-Color paper pack. On top of this, a piece of White Cardstock embossed with the Cute Crochet embossing folder adds subtle texture.

To complete the card I added some Opal Rounds coloured with the Dark Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blend and my favourite – Linen Thread.

Next on our hop is the talented Rochelle Blok. Make sure you click on the Next button and follow our hop through for some amazing inspiration and join in the challenge with your take on this sketch.

CASEing the Catty CTC475 – Country Woods Suite

Welcome to the CASEing the Catty Challenge where each week we CASE a different section of the Stampin’ Up! catalogue. To CASE means to Copy and Selectively Edit a project. The project can be copied or altered to create something in our own style. This week we are CASEing the Country Woods Suite from Pages 48-49.

This suite comprises of 2 bundles, 2 lots of Designer Series Paper and some other products. I’ve used the Country Flowers Bundle on my project. Generally when I CASE, I try to use a different stamp set or bundle however, today I opted to work with the same bundle as the project I was CASEing because I just love this suite so much.

Caseing the Catty Sunday Challenge, CTC475, Stampin' Up!, Country Woods Suite, Country Flowers Bundle, Rustic pot colouured with Stampin' Blends, Stamping on Designer Series Paper, square card

I used the square design and the same sheet from the Country Woods Designer Series Paper as the original card.

As I really loved the original colour palette of the flowers, I coloured my image the same. The pot was coloured with several Stampin’ Blends to depict a rustic pot.

On the original card, the image was stamped directly onto the DSP and I wanted to create that look. I stamped the leaves along the edge of the DSP in Early Espresso and then coloured the bottom of the leaves with Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends.

This suite is my favourite in the catalogue and the creative possibilites are endless as you mix and match these products. Until 30th June, save an extra 10% on the Country Flowers and Country Birdhouse bundles.

I hope you have enjoyed my CASE this week and for more inspiration please follow through to Michelle Strazds’ blog below.

Monochromatic Blackberry Bliss – Gilded Distressed Technique

Welcome to another focus on colour with this week’s Monochromatic Insta Hop feature for Blackberry Bliss. This project has been a journey, I tell you!

I must admit, I struggled with this colour and I didn’t realise, until this project, that Blackberry Bliss and I aren’t close friends! Whenever I use it, it’s sparingly with other colours so featuring it alone was tricky.

GILDED DISTESSED BACKGROUND

I started off with the distressed background which I just loved creating. First, I blended Blackberry Bliss ink over the entire piece of Basic White Cardstotck, leaving some lighter areas, Then I added Pebbled Path ink inbetween which gave it, almost a, singed look. The Cardstock was then scrunched up and I added some Pebbled Path to the folded areas.

The Cardstock was left to dry well. Next I wanted to add some Gold embossing so I tapped my Embossing Buddy over the entire piece of Cardstock to take away any wet areas that may have been there. I dropped some Versamark ink refill onto the pad and applied the refill with a paintbrush over the folded areas. Then I heat embossed Gold Embossing Powder onto it. This provided a nice thick coating. For an extra layer of embossing which had a more roughed up look, I took the Versamark ink pad and rubbed it directly onto the paper. This gave a more uneven texture and this too was heat embossed in Gold.

I embossed a matte layer of Blackberry Bliss Cardstock with the Distressed Tile Embossing Folder. Then I added some ink blending with Blackberry Bliss and this gave it a different tone and provided contrast against the card base.

Underneath the smaller panels of gold embossing, I added a strip of lace from the Chantilly Lace stamp set. I bought this stamp set purely for this image – I loved it that much! A gold embossed cake and a gold ribbon complete this opulent looking card which would be great for a wedding.

I hope you have enjoyed this fun technique I’ve shared with you today. Is Blackberry Bliss one of your favourites and will you be recreating this card? Leave me a comment as I’d love to know.

CASEing the Catty CTC470 – Colours of Frames & Flowers DSP

Caseing the Catty Sunday Challenge, Header

Welcome to the Caseing the Catty Sunday Challenge Blog Hop. For CTC470 we are CASEing the colours of the Frames & Flowers Designer Seriees Paper. This specialty paper pack is a 12″ x 12″ pack with 3 sheets of double sided paper and 3 sheets of paper with die-cut greenery elements.

There are several colours in this DSP, so picking a combination was fun. These are the colours in the images – Early Espresso, Garden Green, Granny Apple Green, Lost Lagoon, Old Olive, Petal Pink, Pretty Peacock, Pumpkin Pie, Shaded Spruce, Soft Sea Foam.

Frames & Flowers Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up

Here’s what I ended up with.

I used the Enduring Beauty stamp set, masks and dies to create a focal image. The flowers were blended in Lost Lagoon. For the extra detail I added more colour to create a deeper shade.

The leaves were blended in Soft Sea Foam with a little bit of Garden Green at the bottom. The veins of the leaves were detailed with a touch of Shaded Spruce.

I used a strip of the Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper for the small panel on the right. This was embossed with the Distressed Tile Embossing Folder. On this I added some Pretty Peacock ink with a sponge dauber.

In my stash, I had a panel of Fluid 100 Cardstock which I had painted with Tuxedo Black ink refill using a Water Painter. I cut a thin strip of this and adhered it to some Basic White Cardstock. From this I die cut a label on which the sentiment was stamped.

I added a bird from the Something for Everything Ephemera Pack which I coloured with my Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends. To complete the card I included some Petal Pink Foiled Gems. So, I ended up using 6 of the colours!
