Awow Blog Hop – Tic-Tac -Toe Challenge
Hello and welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop and especially to my little corner of the world in Melbourne. On the second Wednesday of each month a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from Around the World share inspiration focused on a theme and take you on a trip around the world.

We continue our 5th anniversary celebrations as we CASE our fellow team members. For our fourth month, we are CAS(e)ing our French team member, Aurélie Fabre. I’ve always admired Aurelie’s beautiful work which is elegant with lots of layers and texture and incorporates a range of techniques – especially colouring techniques which I love.

To add a further twist to our hop we also have a Tic-Tac-Toe grid to incorporate into our CASEd project. I selected Circle, Line and Repeat but you will probably notice elements from other squares that have popped onto my card.

While several of Aurelie’s creations inspired me, I selected this project as my CASE as I loved all the elements, textures and layers which she used in this gorgeous cluster. This is actually an album and you can find the details of it on Aurelie’s blog here.
I started with the rectangle die cut using the Textured Notes Dies which replaced the tag. This was die cut from the Turtle-y Awesome Designer Series Paper which has repeated lines. That covered 2 of my categories of repeat and lines. Aurelie’s projects generally have some background stamping or technique on it and I depicted this by stamping some leaves from the Textured Notes stamp set in Soft Sea Foam ink. Technically, these were repeatedly stamped as well!

I added 1 larger and 2 smaller circles from the Unbounded Beauty Dies and embellished each one. On the largest, I added several die cut leaves from the Gallery Blooms Dies. On top, I added a bee hive which was fussy cut from the Turtle-y Cute Designer Series Paper.
Aurelie also adds beautifully placed metallic features on her card and I just couldn’t resist adding some of the Metallic Textures Rub-Ons which are a favourite of mine. Some Bee Trinkets and Linen Thread complete my CASE.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by my blog and I hope you have been inspired by my creation. Please continue on our hop to see Cheryll Miller’s stunning project by clicking on the Next Blog button below.

Oh wow Rochelle, you continue to make me gasp with your beautiful project. The bee hives!!! I had to read through to find out where you found those little gems! Great project. xxxx
Amazing project Rochelle!! Wow! Who knew there were little bee hives in the Turtle-y Awesome DSP!?!? Great CASE of Aurélie too.
Awesome project Leonie! I would have never guessed you had used paper from Turtle-y Cute without reading the text. Genius!
Ah ah, these little beehives are so adorable! – but not enough for me to take the Turtle paper I confess -.
Your project is magnificent, full of superimpositions and little details, we can see that you’ve given a lot of thought to my original project to create your own.
I always love what you do, you know that ^^ and I thank you for taking the time to understand the way I work. I’m very touched, thank you very much! xx
Wow! So creative and beautiful.
So many different elements and textures in your beautiful card!! Lovely interpretation of Aurelie’s card!
As always, a wonderful creation. I love the way you’ve stamped onto the DSP and the way you’ve layered and textured the clusters. The beehives are just fabulous! Very clever, the way you’ve taken DSP and combined it with other elements to such great effect.
