Caseing the Catty CTC530 – Boho Vibes Suite

Hello and welcome to this week’s Caseing the Catty Challenge. Our crew is starting off the challenge with a blog hop for CTC530 CASEing the Boho Vibes Suite which is on Pages 61-63 of our Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue.

I have chosen this scrapbook page for my inspiration and CASEd the layout, flipping the sketch and adapting it into a landscape orientation for my card.

I selected elements from the Good Times Mix & Match Ephemera Pack for my focal point. The images that come in this pack are stickers however I used the Powder Pal from the Embossing Additions Tool Kit to take the stickiness off the back and popped them up on Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the background, I stamped the hibiscus image from the Notes & Totes Bundle using Pool Party ink for a soft, subtle effect. To build the layout, I created two banners using the Thoughtful Wishes Designer Series Paper, then added an arch die-cut from the Floral Impressions Designer Series Paper.

The tone-on-tone pattern of the arch added just the right amount of visual interest without overwhelming the design. It also worked beautifully with the soft watercolour wash on the DSP behind, tying everything together with the Pool Party stamping in the background.

Where there was a sentiment on the original project, I added some sunglasses to add to the beachy look of this card. Some Antique Pearls and Linen Thread add the perfect finishing touch to this card.
