Caseing the Catty Challenge CTC547 – 2025-2026 Annual Catalogue

Welcome to the Caseing the Catty Challenge and our challenge for CTC547 is to CASE any project from the Stampin’ Up! 2025-2026 Annual Catalogue. To CASE is to Copy and Selectively Edit a project, directly copying or adding your own personal touch to it.

I chose this tag from Page 86 of the Catalogue which features the Party Dies Bundle. What caught my eye on this was the striped background created with Designer Series Paper and Cardstock and I wanted to recreate this.

Using the Strawberry Slush sheet from the 2024-2026 In Color Designer Series Paper and Celebratory Sips Designer Series Paper, I adhered several strips to Basic White Cardstock. Then I die cut this with the Perennial Postage Dies.

I layered this onto a die cut of the same size from the Whispers of Texture Specialty Paper. I didn’t even notice this paper until I saw a couple of my friends use it and then of course, I had to have it. It’s just beautiful.

I stamped a snowflake from the Delicate Pines Bundle in Strawberry Slush and layered a smaller snowflake, die cut from DSP on top. The design that the DSP gives is really pretty and die cutting from it adds another layer of texture to the card.

I had a piece of watercoloured cardstock which had been intended for another purpose. This was a simple wash that I had created on Fluid 100 with Strawberry Slush and Timid Tiger ink refills. From this piece I die cut several leaves and I really liked the duo-tones that show through. A few extra snowflke leaves in Timid Tiger and additional textured white leaves complete the foliage cluster.

This combination was so unexpected and I was really pleased with the result of this non-traditional colour palette for a Christmas card. I hope you have been inspired with what I’ve shared and I would love to see what you have created if you CASE my project!
