Caseing the Catty CTC533 – Returning Favourite

Welcome to CTC533 at the Caseing the Catty Challenge and we are Caseing returning favourites this week. What this means is that we are looking at projects that include products that have found their way from our previous catalogue into the current one. You will find these products specifically mentioned from Pages 98 onwards in the 2025-2026 Annual Catalogue.

INSPIRATION

To CASE is to copy and selectively edit and today I’ve used this card on Page 124 which features the Natural Botanicals Stamp Set and the Irresistible Designs Specialty Designer Series Paper as my inspiration. This background is just beautiful and I wanted to incorporate a similar look in my card. So, to begin with, I pulled out the same paper.

Having ordered the Birthday Fancy Kit a little while ago, it was time to open it! This set is so pretty and the stamp set is a keeper with all the birthday sentiments.

I took one of the frames and added a piece of the Irresistible DSP, blended with Pretty in Pink and Strawberry Slush ink, to the back of it. This was layered onto a card base which I cut apart and I added some Strawberry Slush Marker lines inbetween the printed Petal Pink lines.

Some die cut leaves and a fussy cut gold leaf from the Metallic Textures Rub-Ons follows the sketch of the original card.

COORDINATING GIFT TAG

Now, I couldn’t let that beautiful striped Cardstock in the centre go to waste, so I die cut it in the centre with the Textured Notes Dies to create a coordinating tag. I used the negative of the frame from the kit to create the border at the bottom, colouring it with Light and Dark Pretty in Pink and Light Strawberry Slush Stampin’ Blends to create the ombre look. On the die cut circle I added more of the Rub-Ons.

I love that I’ve got this coordinating set ready for a birthday and it’s so easy with the Birthday Fancy Kit to create a range of fun projects. Currently this kit is on sale during our In-Color promotion which runs through 31st August.
