It’s time for another year of inspiration with the New at SU Blog Hop. This month our team are inspiring you with Sale-A-Bration products and sharing ideas for coordinating them with other products from our range. For my card I’ve chosen the Toadstool Gardens Designer Series Paper which is part of the Sale-A-Bration product range. It has a colour palette of Early Espresso, Fresh Freesia, Granny Apple Green, Melon Mambo, Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie. You can get this paper free with a $100 order.
SALE-A-BRATION
The Sale-A-Bration promotion runs through 28th February and there are many products to choose from. There are 2 tiers of products with most products with 12 products free with a $100 order and 2 products free with a $200 order. Take a look at the brochure HERE.
While there are some brighter designs in this pack of paper, I have chosen a softer design for my background to coordinate with the stamped toadstools. The Terrific Toadstools bundle includes a stamp set and punch which punches the toadstools without a border. This is different to some of our other punches. As I wanted the white border around the image, I fussy cut around them – why make life easy?!!!
I stamped the larger toadstools in Soft Sea Foam then added some shading with the Granny Apple Green Watercolour Pencil. The stem was stamped in Crumb Cake and I added some shading with the Early Espresso Watercolour Pencil. For a pop of colour I also added some Melon Mambo mini toadstools.
I’ve followed the sketch at TGIF Challenges #tgifc507 adding a label from the Greetings of the Season Dies to place my cluster of toadstools on.
A piece of the striped DSP from the same pack was cut at an angle and attached under the label. This added a lovely pop of colour and coordinated with my small toadstools.
Some clear sequins from Purple Adhesive Backed Sequins were coloured with the Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blend and added around my card. This versatile embellishment pack is a Sale-A-Bration product which is available free with a $100 order.

Welcome to a new week and today I’ve got a card to share with you using the beautiful Simply Zinnia bundle. This bundle is part of a suite of products which includes a Stamp Set, dies, Designer Series Paper, Embossing Folder and Embellishments. The DSP which is part of this suite is bright and I wanted to give this bundle a soft look by using some subtle colours using Colour Palette #53.
To begin with, I stamped the floral image in Basic Gray instead of Tuxedo Black as it provided a softer outline. The flowers were then coloured in with Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. For the leaves I used Lost Lagoon and added some Petal Pink inbetween. Leaves don’t always have to be the regular green and I just loved how these turned out.
I added the image to 2 labels die cut from the Unbounded Love Dies. I layered this onto a die cut from the Frames & Flowers Specialty Designer Series Paper which was cut down to the size I needed. This paper had just the right colours to fit in with this project.
I stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray as well and layered it onto Flirty Flamingo Cardstock. This coordinated well with those beautiful Flirty Flamingo Dots for Days embellishments.
Don’t miss out on getting the Simply Zinnia bundle at the discounted price of $81.50 during our Stamp & Die bundle sale which is on until 30th June. You can also save 10% on all our Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machines.
Have a great week ahead.

Are you ready to “Step It Up”? Don’t worry, it’s just a craft workout today! Welcome, to wintry Melbourne. Our Around the World on Wednesday blog hop this month is designed for EVERYONE no matter what stage of crafting you are at. If you’re not at any stage of crafting, the Beginner projects are ideal for you to experience how much fun papercrafting is.
You will see projects designed for the Beginner crafter and then stepped-up for the Casual crafter with a bit extra for the Avid crafter.
Here’s our talented team and we are located all over the world. When this blog hop goes live, it’s sometime Wednesday wherever we are. Enjoy your travels!
I have chosen the You’re a Peach Suite for my trio of cards today.
Beginner
Being a Distinktive stamp set, the images offer shading, giving immediate results when stamped and is perfect for a beginner stamper. Some simple stamping with some layering creates this quick card.
Measurements Basic White Thick Card Base – 21cm x 14.8cm (scored in half) Basic White Cardstock – 6cm x 7.5cm Pale Papaya Cardstock – 6.6cm x 9.5cm Designer Series Paper – 6cm x 14.8cm
Casual
I added some die cut labels for stamping my images on to step-up this card for the Casual crafter. The peaches were inked up in Pale Papaya and using a sponge dauber, I went around the edges with Calypso Coral to give a two-tone look.
On the base of the card I added some Pear Pizzazz with a Blending Brush using one of our new Masks to give the effect of a doily.
Avid
To add extra detail and interest for the Avid crafter, I watercoloured some Shimmery White cardstock with Pear Pizzazz and die cut the leaves. This along with the die cut peaches was mounted on the embossed background. I just love that Bark embossing folder for some beautiful texture.
Next on our hop is the lovely Cazz Boylan. Please click on the button below to follow through to her blog.

The Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue retiring list has been released and many of our much-loved products are set to go. Generally, In-Color products will be one of the first items to run out. Shop early so you don’t miss out on your favourite papercrafting and cardmaking supplies.
The Band Together stamp set and coordinating Detailed Band Dies featured in these cards are retiring. The intricate bands are lovely and you have a nice variety of sentiments to use on the outside and inside of cards.
To create the above card I used my blending brushes with some Mango Melody, Magenta Madness and Gorgeous Grape inks on Basic White cardstock. Then I embossed it with the Tin Tile Embossing Folder (now retired). The band across creates such an intricate frame.
This next card has been embossed first and then I took my Rococo Rose ink pad direct to the Pearlescent paper. The flowers were coloured in using sponge daubers – a simple and quick way to add colour to your images.

With a theme of Aquatic in the Global Design Project challenge, I could have chosen a number of the Stampin’ Up! water themed stamp sets. With yachts, boats, coral, sea creatures and more – there was so much to choose from. I finally decided on the Whale of a Time Designer Series Paper.
I already had a beautiful piece of coloured cardstock which I had created using the Forever Gold Lasercut Paper. To create this, I used the white side of the lasercut paper which I coloured in Pretty Peacock using a sponge dauber. I placed a piece of Whisper White cardstock under this ‘stencil’ to create another panel. This is what I used on this card on top of my embossed layer.
I tore a piece of Fluid 100 Water colour paper and added a water colour wash on it using Pacific Point, Granny Apple Green and Pretty Peacock. Then I ran this through the Tasteful Textiles Embossing folder. For some added texture, I roughly added Versamark ink direct from the ink pad to sections of the paper. Then I heat embossed it in gold. This gives it a bit of an under-the-sea-buried-treasure look.
The coral was stamped on one of the sheets of DSP and fussy cut. I love how these colours all came together to form the look of the depths of the ocean. The cute turtle has been fussy cut from DSP.

Playful Pets and Playing with Patterns – now that’s going to be a fun combination! I had so much fun creating this card. The Playing with Patterns Designer Series Paper has fun patterns and colours and just gives a cheerful feel. So it was a great backdrop for this cute doggy.
I stamped a strip of the ombré DSP in Coastal Cabana with the floral triangle from The Right Triangle stamp set. Moving the triangle around you can completely cover a piece of DSP or cardstock. I was inspired by this sketch at the Inspire. Create, Challenge blog.
To create the thin stripe on the left, I used the die with the row of triangles. I think this bundle will be one I will be using time and time again as I love the geometric patterns and also the ability to use it in a more softer way.
The dog was coloured in Stampin’ Blends and I added a little bow with some linen thread from the Gorgeous Posies Kit.
During June, you can earn The Right Triangle bundle or any other bundle in the Annual Catalogue, for free. Just purchase a Starter Kit which is any selection of items that you choose worth $235 and pay only $169. Then you will also get to select ANY bundle from the Annual catalogue as an extra.
