Thank you for visiting me in Melbourne for our monthly trip Around the World on Wednesday. Our theme is ‘Let’s Hear it for the Boys’ with a focus on the men in our lives.
I was not quite sure which direction I was going to take with this as my partner Adrian has several passions. He loves kayaking and surfing so I initially wanted to go along that theme. Then I shifted gears as he is a talented musician, music teacher and accompanist and I wanted to create a card with that in mind. In fact we met in church where he was the pianist/organist and I was a chorister so this card seemed perfect.
I’ve made a Centre Step Easel Card which is a really easy fun fold to create.
CENTRE STEP EASEL MEASUREMENTS
Card Front – 21cm x 14.8cm (scored in half at 10.5cm)
On the top half of the card cut at 4cm and 10.8 upto the score line.
Cut out these sections.
Fold the remaining centre portion in half to form the easel.
To create the piano keys I cut strips of Basic White Cardstock at 1.5cm and Basic Black Cardstock at 1cm. The Black keys were rounded using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch.
For the inside of the card I used the waves from the Waves of Inspiration stamp set to stamp the background in Tahitian Tide and Bermuda Bay (stamped off). I just had to incorporate something of the ocean (at least in name!).
The music notes were hand drawn with the Basic Black Marker and I added some Matte Black Dots to give them dimension.
When folded this card will fit in a 6″ square envelope. However, this might not end up in an envelope as I’ll probably just hand it to Adrian! By making the front panel smaller, this card will fit in a regular C6 envelope.
Although this is probably not your regular ‘guy’ card, it suits my guy and is suited for any music lover.
Thank you for stopping by my blog today and I hope you have enjoyed my creation. For lots of inspiration for masculine makes make sure you travel the world with us and check out all the amazing work of these ladies, beginning with lovely Cheryll Miller.

I love creating cards which are simple to make yet they have a WOW factor to it. To create this card, a small panel has been cut from the front so that pretty border at the back shows through.
I’ve also added a piece of Supple Shimmer for some extra prettiness. You get 2 sheets of this paper in the pack – 1 pink and 1 a light mint. The simple stamped leaf border creates a pretty effect.
You can choose the Friendly Hello bundle as your free product with a $180 order during the Stampin’ Up! Sale-A-Bration promotion which runs until 16th March. Sale-A-Bration products are available while supplies last.

Hello, I hope you have had a lovely Saturday. Being in lockdown has given me more time to enjoy some crafting. I shared this easy fun fold on my Facebook Live today.
This card folds flat to fit in a regular envelope. It’s fun to decorate and uses up your Designer Series Paper (hands up if you have lots of that laying around!). I did make a mistake on this card and had to rectify it. If you look closely you will see it. Hey, it’s handmade! If you don’t see it, then check out the video.
Here’s another card I did with the same suite.
Measurements
Garden Green Card Base – 10.5cm x 29.6cm, scored at 7.4cm and 14.8cm DSP for base – 9.9cm x 14.2cm, 9.9cm x 6.8cm (2 pieces)
Real Red Panel – 8.5cm x 25.6cm, scored at 6.4cm and 12.8cm on long side DSP for this panel – 7.9cm x 12.2cm. 7.9cm x 5.8cm
How would you like to get one of these featured bundles FREE?
Until 30th September, you can choose1 of 12 selected bundles totally free when you purchase a Starter Kit. The Starter Kit is in itself exceptional value. Welcome to our New at SU Blog Hop where we are showcasing new In-Colours through Fun Fold cards. Two days running I’ve had this theme in a blog hop. Quite a coincidence. So you’re getting heaps of Fancy Fold inspiration.
I tried a Double Fan Fold Fancy Fold card for the first time, following a tutorial by Tina Shaw. Although it looks complicated, it all comes down to some nifty scoring.
New In-Colours of Polished Pink, Soft Succulent and Pale Papaya were used on this card. The Hand Penned Designer Series Paper works well with our new colours.
Although this card looks quite complicated, it all comes down to some nifty scoring.
Get your fingers round the Mountain and Valley Folds and it’s really an easy card to make.
I used the beautiful Hand Penned suite, including a piece of card from the Memories & More Cards and Envelopes as a border.
The flowers were coloured in a combination of Stampin’ Blends.
Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Please leave me a comment and I hope to see you back very soon.
Make sure you stop by all the other blog hop participants for lots of ideas on your next fancy fold card. Next on our hop is the talented Annette Elias.
It’s Fancy Folds galore at our Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop this month. If it’s your first time with us, we are a group from around the world who love sharing all things Stampin’ Up! We hop on the 2nd Wednesday of each month and at the time this hop goes live, it’s some time between 12am to 10pm on Wednesday around the world.
Corner Flip Card
With so many Fancy Folds to choose from, I really didn’t have a favourite. However, I chose a simple design with a creative opening. The Corner Flip Card is so easy to make and involves two slits that form an L shape which, when flipped, create the interesting corner.
I’m making this card on my weekly Creative Escape tonight and it will be up on my YouTube channel tomorrow. I will post the link on here so you can see how it’s made.
I used the beautiful Pansy suite to create this card. The Vellum doily has been coloured with Light Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends to coordinate.
Neverending Card
Part of this challenge was to create a Fancy Fold which we had never tried before. Now, I have seen several Neverending or Infinity Cards but it has been on my ‘must try’ list. So this was the ideal opportunity. I got so carried away with the Snail Mail Suite that I forgot I needed to use In-Colours! Oh well…I hope you enjoy it anyway!
This card is made with 4 panels of cardstock 7cm x 14cm. Each one is scored on the long side at 3.5cm on either side. The diagram below shows the assembly of the panels. Once you glue all the panels together, you will have a 14cm x 14cm square.
The card then keeps flipping outwards to reveal many layers and surprises.
I think this another video tutorial which will have to be made in the days to come so keep your eyes peeled!

Hello and welcome to Stamping Flair in Melbourne. I’m so glad you have stopped by my blog today. We’ve got lots of fun inspiration with our Fancy Fold theme.
I’ve got a lovely Fancy Fold card to share with you. It’s easy to create and looks great. We’re saying goodbye to Sale-A-Bration today so I gave the Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper a grand send off on this card.
As soon as I saw this Fancy Fold on Satomi Wellard’s blog I knew I wanted to recreate it. It’s a variation of a Gatefold Card and so pretty.
Measurements
A4 Card base – 29.6cm x 21cm Score at 7cm and 14cm from left and right (on the long side) DSP 6.6cm x 20.6cm – 6 pieces (4 pieces in 1 design and 2 pieces in a coordinating design)
Once you get all your folds it’s a matter of adding Designer Series Paper as you like to decorate it. The Paper Blooms DSP is a free product which you can earn with a $90 order – but this offer ends today!
To attach the centre image which holds the ‘gates’ together, I added 3 Stampin’ Dimensionals right in the centre Seaside Spray panel (the part not covered by DSP). This allows the folds to tuck in nicely under the circle. The inner circle and leaves were die cut from one of the sheets of DSP which has circles on it (I did tell you I made maximum use of the DSP). I have just got the Pierced Blooms bundle and I’m loving the detail on it.
One thing you do need to pay attention to when adding all the beautiful flowers and leaves, that you only attach it to the circle. I got caught up in decorating and attached it to the flap and realized just in time that this wouldn’t allow the card to open!
I hope you’ve enjoyed this Fancy Fold and give it a try. I’d love to hear how you like it in the comments.
