I’ve got a beautiful monochromatic card in hues of purple for Day 6 of my Sketchtember Challenge. I chose my colour palette from the Designer Series Paper which has foil on one side. The Splendid Day Specialty Designer Series Paper is on sale UNTIL 7TH SEPTEMBER. Shop the Weekly Deals here.
I used the border die from the Apple Blossoms Dies and cut the DSP at an angle for a different look to the border. The semi circle was stamped repeatedly with the leaf image and a black and white stripe DSP strip added for contrast.
Adding so many gems is quite unusual for me but I just couldn’t help myself. It looked so pretty as a border against the silver embossed leaf.
Thank you for stopping by to check out my card today. I hope you are inspired to get into your craft room and create!

A brand new working week with lots more Sketchtember challenge fun. For Day 5 I’m using the limited release Apple Blossom Dies. These dies are part of the Stampin’ Up! Perfect Partners promotion which is on this month. There are 6 new dies which have been released which coordinate with stamp sets from the Annual and Mini catalogues. These are only available while supplies last and this promotion ends on the 30th of September.
I had a lot of fun colouring this image with a mix of Watercolour Pencils. I used Granny Apple Green, Garden Green, Crushed Curry, Early Espresso and Cajun Craze. Then I die cut the image. The Apple Blossom Dies include several extra dies to enhance your projects with. That scalloped border is very useful too.
I added the apple image onto the Design a Daydream DSP. This is an exclusive Host reward which you can choose when you host a workshop or place a personal order of $250.

This has got to be one of the quickest cards I have made. I didn’t even have to cut and score a card base because I used the ready made Tea Boutiqe Cards and Envelopes.
I had a die cut Deckled Rectangle laying on my desk so I just messed around by ink blending with Starry Sky. Then I added Starry Sky and Garden Green ink with sponge daubers directly onto my flower from the Wonderful World stamp set and stamped the image. I didn’t use my Stamparatus for this part BUT if you use a Stamparatus you can re-stamp to add extra colour as desired. This technique is a great simple stamping technique and gives great results.
You can get the Wonderful World bundle free with a $180 order only until 31st August so hurry. This product will not be available for sale after Sale-A-Bration as it is exclusive to this promotion.
Next I added a strip of Tear and Tape and scrunched up some Silver Mesh Ribbon right across. The messy look of this added so much texture and I loved it. At this point, I had mounted everything and then decided I needed to stamp a sentiment onto the stamped cardstock which was already attached to the card. Not an ideal situation. So, the Stamparatus came to the rescue and I was able to stamp the ‘hello’ without a problem.
Sale-a-Bration ends tomorrow so don’t miss out getting those favourite freebies before they are gone. There are also many products from both our Annual and Mini catalogue which you can get free. Such great value to make your shopping experience even better!

When it comes to a bit of fussy cutting, I’m up for the challenge. As soon as I saw this bouquet in the Awash with Beauty Designer Series Paper, it cried out to be fussy cut. So with my Paper Snips I took to creating this focal image for my card inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.
I used some Crumb Cake Cardstock scraps I had to create a border along the DSP panel.
I die cut some Vellum stems and coloured the back with an Old Olive Stampin’ Blend along with some die cut Mossy Meadow berries.
A heat embossed sentiment from the Ringed with Nature stamp set on Merry Merlot adds a nice contrast against the flowers. When you purchase the Ringed with Nature bundle you will automatically qualify for a free product from our Sale-A-Bration promotion.
To coordinate with the natural look of the Crumb Cake Cardstock I added some Linen Thread which I wrapped around my fingers 3 times to create a loop and tucked in under the bouquet with some Tear n’ Tape adhesive.
Until 31st August any orders of $90 will qualify for a Sale-A-Bration product. You will also receive a free tutorial bundle from me.

Welcome to our Around the World Blog Hop where on the 2nd Wednesday of each month we share Stampin’ Up! inspiration from various parts of the world. Today our theme is Never Ever Grow Up which immediately makes us think of children.
However, as I write this, I think of my partner Adrian because I think he missed the memo about growing up. Always up for a lark, I could have easily done a project for him. Ha! Ha! I digress.
Instead, I focused on my daughter Cassidy. We have a tradition, ever since I started with Stampin’ Up! which was about 8 years ago, I’ve created a fancy fold card for birthdays and Christmases. Each fancy fold is different and they will always be one that I havent’t tried before because then it felt that extra special.
So today I’ve created the Triple Cube Pop-Up Card for the first time using a tutorial by Lisa Curcio. I like fancy folds that are wow without being intensely difficult. This is one of those folds. It comes together so quickly.
I used the free Sale-A-Bration Hippest Hippos stamps and dies. Each of these products are free with a $90 order whiles supplies last, until 31st August. So if you spend $180 you will be able to get both products. These gals are so cute and were really fun to colour.
That unsual pink on the umbrella was achieved by me trying Mint Macaron and not liking it. So I went over it with the Dark Polished Pink Stampin’ Blend and presto, a new colour!
I’ve chosen the ‘Awww, you’re the best’ sentiment which is apt as Cassidy and I generally try to see who can say it last before we go to bed. It’s our ‘thing’.
How much fun would a child get when they open this card and it pops open and these 3 hippos stand their looking so cute? I think any kid would just love it. This neatly fits in a regular C6 envelope for posting.
Measurements:
Cardstock: 20cm x 21cm
Score on the long side at 5cm, 10cm, 15cm and 20cm
Turn to the right and cut right down at 5cm and 10cm which forms the 2 side boxes

When I saw the inspiration photo at Just Add Ink Challenges #615 my eye was drawn to the row of skylights and I immediately thought of recreating that look with Vellum.
I’ve combined this with a challenge from Stampin’ Up! #creativechallengesu which has a sketch to work from.
I started by die cutting Early Espresso Cardstock with the Stitched Rectangles Dies. Then I embossed a piece of Vellum with the Fern Embossing Folder which was adhered to the back of the die cut panel. As I didn’t want the Vellum to pick up the colour of the Cardstock behind it, I added a piece of Basic White Cardstock and mount it with Foam Adhesive which provided enough gap between the Vellum and White Cardstock to still have a transparent look.
The ‘pot’ was die cut from the Splendid Stems Dies from the Perfectly Penciled DSP, picking up on the striped cushions in the background for my inspiration. I love this colour palette which is straight from the inspiration photo and it even had me using Garden Green which tends to get left behind in my craft room sometimes!
