Hello,

Welcome to my blog on this Mother’s Day. I hope you are enjoying your day, celebrating in whatever capacity you can. I am enjoying my day with my daughter Cassidy who has made some lovely scrolls this afternoon and is also preparing dinner for me tonight. Can’t wait! It’s nice to be spoiled isn’t it?

As it’s Mother’s Day, I chose the Music from the Heart stamp set in remembrance of my mother who used to be a music teacher and conducted choirs.  I would have given this card to her with a Mother’s Day sentiment instead of the one I’ve chosen and I know she would have loved it.

I watercoloured the images from the Free as a Bird stamp set and fussy cut them. Then I arranged these together with some flowers from the Follow Your Art Embellishment Kit and copper leaves from the Flourish Dies.  I just love the felt embellishments in the embellishment kit as they add so much texture to a project. 

For the final touch, I stamped the keyboard in Gorgeous Grape and fussy cut it, laying it on top for my musical themed , bird song card..
