New at SU Blog Hop – Case a Team Member – Beautiful Gallery

Welcome to the New at SU Blog Hop for August and this is a special month as we Case a team member. I’m Caseing the talented Anke Heim from Germany. I love all the texture that Anke adds to her projects and she creates beautiful 3D projects too.

For my Case, I’m using the Beautiful Gallery Suite as it worked well with Anke’s card designs I had selected to use as inspiration. I’ve selected elements from both these cards and incorporated them to create mine. I found these cards on Anke’s instagram feed so go check it out @scraphexe.

I loved the torn Cardstock which created the ombre design on the first card so I recreated it within a circle, following Anke’s sketch on the second card.

The floral image was coloured in Pecan Pie, Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie Watercolour Pencils and finally to blend any harsh edges, I added Light Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blend. While I normally use a Color Lifter for this technique, I wanted to give this a try and really liked how it turned out.

For the leaves, I started with Old Olive, then added Granny Apple Green at the base, finishing off with Garden Green detail.

To complete the card I added some Baker’s Twine and Pressed Flower Motifs.
