Sending Christmas Wishes - Pine Tree Trimmings Bundle

To kick off the week, I’ve got some fresh inspiration featuring a new-to-me bundle — the Stampin’ Up! Pine Tree Trimmings Bundle. This bundle includes a coordinating stamp set and dies that are perfect for creating clean and simple Christmas cards or quick seasonal projects. The minimalistic dies make it easy to achieve that crisp, modern look, while the stamp set includes fun images and sentiments that you can mix and match to build beautiful designs.

I’ve been inspired by sketch challenge FMS707 at Freshly Made Sketches and the parameters of the Craft Roulette Show Episode #288 which are below.

The ‘block/s’ parameter was an easy one to incorporate with this fun sketch! I used the Florals in Bloom Designer Series Paper along with embossed Darling Duckling Cardstock to create the panelled background. For my ‘on the ground’ colour palette, I was inspired by the tones of autumn leaves falling to the ground. Even the Designer Series Paper has a leafy, falling effect — completely unplanned, but it worked perfectly!

I stamped the trees in tone-on-tone Mossy Meadow and the Darling Duckling tree has been stamped on a piece of Designer Series Paper featuring subtle leaf imagery. Since leaves and trees go well together, that took care of my ‘Element’ parameter nicely. To complete the focal point, I added the trees onto a circle element that I heat-embossed with white stars. I then blended Timid Tiger ink over it to create a soft Emboss Resist effect, adding texture and depth to the clean design.
