Sometimes all news is not good news and this week was one of them. All I can do is take my cares to the Lord who knows all the good and bad ‘stuff’ going on in our lives.
The good news is I’ve been on holidays and have been enjoying watching movies, crafting, staying up late and having sleep ins. Our family went out and watched the new Jurassic World movie. The suspense never ends – it’s exhausting! It was good. I ran a workshop for a team member and she was really pleased with the event. She’ll now be having classes with ladies from her local area and I’m so pleased for her that this was a success. I spent Saturday with my bestie, Nicole. We crafted, ate, drank too much coffee, ate some more – it’s a cycle!
So what have I got for today’s Step-it-Up Sunday? A project with Nature’s Poem DSP.
This card is created with 2 tags using the DSP. I like the tree and swing image from ‘A Good Day’ stamp set and I felt pairing it with the nature DSP worked well. A bit of ribbon attached at the back with tear and tape completes your card.
This card has been stepped up by adding an extra layer of DSP onto the card base. Then the Tranquil Tide matte has been embossed. The stamped image has been coloured in with Mint Macaron, Tranquil Tide, Flirty Flamingo and Pumpkin Pie. I’ve also added the bow.
With the Advanced Card I incorporated Flirty Flamingo to pick up the colouring in by adding a doily and butterfly. The butterfly was from the Copper Vinyl stickers, which I stuck onto Flirty Flamingo cardstock. I then fussy cut it. The doily in Mint Macaron was done this way except it was die cut with the Spot of Tea Framelits.
Here’s to a good day and a good week!
