aWow Blog Hop – You’ve Got Mail

If you are a regular here or a visitor I’m so glad you’ve had a chance to stop by. You’ve Got Mail is the theme for our Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop. We are specially focusing on the inside – as in, why do we send cards?
No matter what the occasion is – be it birthday, wedding, retirement, sympathy, birth – a card is to let someone know we are thinking of them and our main goal is to cheer up and bring joy to the recipient. So with that in mind, I set to creating this card using the Hey Chick bundle which just exudes fun for me. Out came this cheeky, chicky card.
I cut apart my stamp from the Approaching Perfection stamp set so I could stamp the words ‘News Flash’ as a background. Cutting your stamps apart can offer you more creative possibilities. I also added some stamped hearts from the Punch Party stamp set which is a set that can’t be bought. It is given to you FREE with any workshop order or personal order of $500*. The rooster and egg were coloured in a mix of Stampin’ Blends. These 2 characters made me laugh. The rooster towering over the egg makes it look like it’s going to give the egg a good scolding but then it says ‘you’re a good egg’. So I hope the recipient has a laugh too.
Of course, I had to do a bit of decorating on the ‘inside’ because it’s all about the inside this month.
