Oct 11, 2020 | Blog Hops, Thank You |
Welcome to the Joy of Sets Blog Hop for October where we are showcasing projects featuring Harvest Time. I just love all the colours that this brings to my mind – the colours of Autumn. There’s something warm and homely about those shades of orange, yellow and rust brown.
I couldn’t go past the Stampin’ Up! Country Home stamp set which I just love and I don’t think I’ll ever get rid of. Those cans …… I find a use for them all the time. I coloured this can with a combination of Soft Suede, Cinnamon Cider and Bronze Stampin’ Blends. Being such a simple colouring medium to use, it’s easy to create a customized colour by blending different colours together.
To create the wheat, I started off by dabbing Cinnamon Cider and Bumblebee inks with a sponge on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. This gave a lovely speckled look. Then I die cut it using the Sunflowers Dies.
I loved the look of the striped sheet of paper in the Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper but it didn’t quite match my card. So I set about creating my own using the brush tip of my Stampin’ Blends. I used Poppy Parade, Soft Suede, Cinnamon Cider and Just Jade and really loved how it turned out. Having coordinating colouring tools and inks makes the creative process so much easier.
Some fussy cut pumpkins and stamped images from the Beautiful Autumn stamp set add to the harvest bounty of this card.
I hope you have enjoyed the project I have shared with you today. You are currently visiting Rochelle Laird-Smith from Stamping Flair in Australia. Thank you for stopping by and I hope to see you back soon.
