Love your Stampin’ Up! Colours Challenge
Inspiration can come from many places and my card today has a couple of sources which inspired it’s design.
The sketch has been interpreted from this sketch FMS492 by Cécile Ribon at Freshly Made Sketches.
My colour scheme came about as a result of the Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team’s ‘Love your Stampin’ Up! Colors’ challenge. ADT members have been creating projects using their least used Stampin’ Up! colour they are challenging us to do the same.
The colour that spends most time on my shelf is Merry Merlot. Did you know that Merry Merlot is one of our Neutrals? So it’s quite unusual for this girl whose favourite palette is the Neutrals range, to neglect Merry Merlot.
I started by picking the Beauty of the Earth DSP which has Merry Merlot in it. The plant was fussy cut from Bloom Where You’re Planted DSP which had another of the colours I don’t use that much – Garden Green.
To keep the layout of the diagonal feature across the centre on the sketch, I stamped the Stacked Stone background stamp over 2 masks of ripped paper. This created the uneven edge.
