A traditional card for today’s sketch for the #30DayChristmasCardMakingChallenge. The beautiful Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper really works for traditional cards and I love the colours in it.
I coordinated with the DSP by adding a focal feature of stamped and die cut pinecones aginst a Cherry Cobbler label.
Then I added some liquid glue and applied the Gilded Leafing over it. This added a lovely Christmas shine to this card.
A sentiment heat embossed in White, then cut up into smaller sections creates a more playful look.
Get this DSP for just $8.40 during our Last Chance sale. Regular price was $21. Being 12″ x 12″ sheets, they also make for great scrapbook pages.

I’m looking forward to November with lots of Stampin’ Up! events, new catalogue sneak peeks and Christmas preparations. Lots of cardmaking is definitely on my list of things to do as I have several markets to attend and lots to get ready to giveaway to friends and family. So what a better way to get ready than to take part in Martin’s Mahyem #30dayChristmasCardmakingChallenge. Martin Stone is a member of the Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team. I’m so looking forward to this fun challenge.
For Day 1 it’s ‘something red’ and I’ve used the Sweetest Christmas Designer Series Paper to create the backdrop for my card.
For an extra layer of red, I added some ink blending through the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks.
The pinecones are from the Christmas Season stamp set which a carryover from last year and don’t they make a great feature on this card? Some Mint Macaron and Blushing Bride break up the red and create a pretty colour palette. The oval dies are from the brand new Fitting Florets Collection which is available from today. The dies are a must have just for these ovals alone.
Every day in November, my newsletter subscribers will receive a new tutorial for a Christmas project. Today’s tutorial will be for this card.

Hello, I hope you have had a lovely Saturday. Being in lockdown has given me more time to enjoy some crafting. I shared this easy fun fold on my Facebook Live today.
This card folds flat to fit in a regular envelope. It’s fun to decorate and uses up your Designer Series Paper (hands up if you have lots of that laying around!). I did make a mistake on this card and had to rectify it. If you look closely you will see it. Hey, it’s handmade! If you don’t see it, then check out the video.
Here’s another card I did with the same suite.
