Oct 6, 2020 | Thank You |
Hi friend,
Lovely to have you here at Stamping Flair in Melbourne for Kylie Bertucci’s International Blog Highlights. Our theme is about showing gratitude and saying Thank You to those around us.
I made this card as a double for a team challenge I took part in and thought it would work well for the Blog Highlights as well. Each team member was given the same amount of Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper and cardstock and we had to come up with a card.
With some very strategic die cutting I managed to create several layers, a tag and even have quite a bit of leftover DSP and cardstock.
The Stitched so Sweetly Dies are beautiful for adding lovely frames to projects. To save cardstock, I cut out the centre from the larger frame and used it as a tag. I love the bright and cheery feel of this card to say ‘Thank you’ to some one.
With so many flowers on the DSP, I thought some birds from the Birds & More Dies would suit this coordinating floral set.
Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I hope you have enjoyed my projects. Click on the button below to view the entire gallery where you can vote for your Top 5 favourites. I would really appreciate your vote.

I recently organized a swap with my team members using products from the new Annual Catalogue. I chose the Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper and let the colours from it help me decide my colour palette for this card. It’s so easy to coordinate colours using the DSP as a starting point.
I can tell you, Magenta Madness and Poppy Parade is not a colour combination I would have usally put together but it looks so beautiful on this DSP that I chose this for my card. So, then began my fussy cutting which I rather like to do. I cut flowers apart from the DSP, layering them to add dimension.

I went for a crisp, white background, embossing the Whisper White panel with the Tasteful Textiles Embossing Folder. Coordinating with my colour scheme, I wanted a Poppy Parade label in the centre but I really wanted a softer background. First I heat embossed the leaves from the Lovely You stamp set and then sponged Poppy Parade over it to achieve the look I wanted.
A linen bow was added along with a sentiment from the Blossoms in Bloom stamp set. Then I added a Champagne Rhinestone for just a touch of extra elegance.

All the products I have used for this card are listed at the bottom of this post and it’s a fun and quick card to make.
I currently have a BOGO (Buy One Get One Free) sale running on my Stamping Flair Online Events Group. All items I have for sale are listed in albums. For every dollar you spend on retired products you get to spend the equivalent dollar value on anything in the new catalogue. So for instance, if you select a bundle for $50 from my retired product, you will have $50 to spend on new product. Essentially, you will be receiving my retired goods for FREE. Join my Facebook Group to browse the products on offer.
You will also receive Bonus Days vouchers for every order over $90.
