Spring is in the air at our Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog Hop this month. My page did have to include some pink – I just can’t have spring without pink!
I chose the Forever Blossoms stamp set and coordinating Cherry Blossoms dies and coloured the images with a mix of current and brand new colours coming in our Annual Catalogue.
Spring generally means weddings and I incorporated a sentiment from the same stamp set. I kept this page minimal in layout. as the combination of papers makes it interesting,
I am so enjoying these scrapbook challenges … and I hope you are too. Please make sure you follow the hop right through for lots of spring inspiration.

Aug 23, 2020 | Birthday, Fancy Fold Cards |
Hi,
I’ve got a fancy fold card to share with you today. I was asked by one of my friends to make a 30th birthday card for her daughter. I thought a fancy fold card would be a nice touch for this special occasion. The Arrow Fold Card is one I had seen but not tried and I thought I’d give it a go. surprisingly, it is a very easy fold to master.
I chose my card base colour first and then my Designer Series Paper. After this, I worked all my elements around it. The Peony Garden DSP looks so pretty against the Purple Posy cardstock.
I coloured the flowers using all the purple shades adding a touch of Dark So Saffron in the centre. The leaves were coloured in Mint Macaron and Just Jade. I added a little bit of Light Old Olive to add more shading.
To enhance the bouquet of blossoms, I added more die cut leaves and flowers. The Plush Poinsettia Specialty DSP is beautiful and I love the softness it adds to projects. I die cut my small flowers from it and then shaded them with the Dark So Saffron Stampin’ Blend which picked up the embossed section of the DSP.
The inside of the card has been kept simple with a DSP sheet that could be written over.I added the ’30’ die cut from the beautiful Velveteen Paper using the Playful Alphabet Dies. These dies are a must have in your craft room as you can make any words and numbers so they are perfect for any occasion.
I’ve got a tutorial for all you lovely subscribers so you can make this card at home. Click here to download.
