Today’s Monochromatic Insta Hop with the Crafty Collaborations team is focussing on Night of Navy. My first instinct was to create a masculine project and then I had a shift in thinking and chose the Country Flowers bundle.
I cut 4 panels of Mediterranean Blooms Designer Series Paper and added it to Basic White Cardstock, with a second layer behind it.
Then I added a strip of Take to the Sky DSP matte onto White Cardstock across the base layers. I felt this check pattern pulled the design together with it’s simple pattern.
The pot was watercoloured with Night of Navy and Gray Granite ink refills. I added some extra detail with the Night of Navy Watercolour Pencil. In the centre of the die cut flowers I added some light shading with the Night of Navy Watercolour Pencil and topped it with an Opal Round.
A pretty tag from the Greetings of the Season dies hangs off the edge of the pot with some Gray Granite Baker’s Twine to ‘tie’ it onto the pot.

Hope you are enjoying your long weekend. I’ve been having fun creating with the beautiful Flowers for Every Season Memories & More card pack. I’ve created this Friendship card using the sentiment from the Well Said stamp set
Co-ordinating with this is the Flowers for Every Season Memories & More Cards & Envelopes which are in all our new In-Colours. I’ve used the Magenta Madness card for my base today. With it’s pretty envelopes, it’s a lovely addition to my craft stash.
The circle has been stamped with the reversible line image in the stamp set, using our stamp positioning tool – the Stamparatus, which makes it so easy to create repeat patterned images like this. Fussy cut images from the Memories & More pack and the Designer Series Paper create this lovely bouquet of flowers.
All products I’ve used on this card are listed at the bottom of this post.

Botanical Prints Product Medley
I started making cards with this kit and I just couldn’t stop. I had so many ideas and I love the paper. There are so many ways to use it. Some sheets have images of fruit and others flowers. One side is coloured while the other is Black and White and this makes it extra good for combining with many projects.
My card today shows how you can use the various patterns of the Designer Series Paper included in this pack. The busy pattern in the background is offset by the black and white stripe pattern in the centre.
The product medley contains
* Botanical Prints Cling Stamp Set—6 stamps; suggested clear blocks: c, d
* 48 sheets of 6″ x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm) Designer Series Paper: 8 each of 6 double-sided designs
* 4 sheets of die-cut accents: 2 each of 2 designs
* 4 sheets 3-11/16″ x 5″ (9.4 x 12.7 cm) laser-cut overlays: 2 each of 2 designs
* Old Olive 1/4″ (6.4 mm) Twill Ribbon, 10 yards (9.1 m)
* 12 copper-coloured metal bee embellishments, 1/2″ (1.3 cm) each
* 7-piece Botanical Prints Dies (use with a die-cutting & embossing machine)
I turned one of the labels around and stamped flowers all over it to create a customized label. This adds another layer of interest to the card.

I’m loving the Tropical Oasis suite and have been creating cards using different techniques. This card uses a simple layout with a few colours to create a friendship card.
This card was really quick to make using a very easy colouring technique to add some colour to the palm tree.
I used Stampin’ Write Markers to colour directly onto the rubber of the stamp. I love these markers as they come in every colour in our ink pad range, there is a pen and brush side so you have more control over your colouring and being water based the stamps clean up easily after use.
Once the image is coloured with the Markers, just ‘huff’ on the stamp and the breath will activate the ink. Stamp as normal on your cardstock. This is a fun and quick way to add colour to your images. I even added shading to my leaves with 2 colours. The sentiment has been stamped on a bit of scrap Tropical Oasis Memories & More Card I had leftover.

I’ve got a sweet card for you today inspired by the fun colours set out in the Global Design Project challenge this week. These are such bright and cheerful colours and I thought it would be fun to create a friendship card.
I chose the Little Elephant stamp set and although tempted to use the cute little elephants, I decided to use some other fun images which are included in this set.
The border of hearts was made using a small stamp in the set. Then I used the Stamparatus to create the flower border. These were coloured with Blueberry Bushel and Call me Clover Stampin’ Write Markers with the ‘direct to stamp’ colouring technique. To achieve this look, I coloured the stamp with the markers then ‘huffed’ (breathed) on it to activate the moisture and stamped. I did this each time I coloured the stamp. The advantage of the Stamparatus is the ability to align a border as I have done and also to re-stamp images which may not stamp first time.
The sentiment was heat embossed in White on Call me Clover cardstock.
It’s #worldcardsendingweek this week. I plan on sending this card to a friend (shhh – I can’t say who in case she sees this!). So get involved in this fun week and send out one (or a few) of your handmade cards to someone. They will love it and you will be a blessing to them.
