Monochromatic Misty Moonlight – Geometric Inspiration
Last year when Stampin’ Up! had a colour refresh, I was so thrilled to see Misty Moonlight become part of our Classics Neutrals range. Previously being an In-Color, it had been one of my favourites. So for today’s Crafty Collaborations Insta Hop, my go-to creation would probably have been something floral or being blue, nautical as I was working with one of my favourites.

However, I decided to try something which I’d been wanting to for a while and create a card with geometric patterns.
There is so much that can be done with this sort of design. Hence, I love some of our Masks which can be used in this way. For this card, I used lots of scrap Cardstock and Designer Series Paper for some paper-piecing.

I started off with 9 pieces of 3cm x 3cm squares. Then I worked on each individual square, designing different little creations for every one. It was fiddly but fun! Such a great way to use up leftover bits of die cuts or scrap paper.
Those little circles were punched out from Textured Shimmer Paper coloured with a Misty Moonlight Stampin’ Blend. I used the Little Monkey Builder Punch for this.

I’ve also used the Country Woods and Country Lace Designer Series Paper which is in the upcoming Annual Catalogue. The sentiment is also part of another new product release. We have 4 Ephemera Packs coming in the Annual Catalogue and this is part of the Saying Something pack. So, this card ended up not having any stamping at all – which practically never happens with me.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today and I hope this inspires you to use up your scraps in some fun ways.
