Broadway Bound Christmas

When I first saw the Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series paper I thought some of the papers would make great Christmas cards. The gold and stars in these papers just call out to be made into Christmas projects. I love the combination of black and gold and wanted to create this card in these non-traditional Christmas colours. 

To begin with, I heat embossed the deer in gold onto the black foil.

The card base is Basic Black, to which I adhered a piece of Designer Series Paper. The next panel was layered onto a piece of the Black foil cardstock. I love the glossy look that this adds to the card. 

Although it looks like it would take a lot of time, this is a very quick card to make. The DSP adds the glamour to it. I’m sure if you look at your packs of DSP you will find other ways to use them, other than the occasions they are intended for. It’s great to extend our stash this way.
