Oct 25, 2020 | Blog Hops, Other, Thank You |
Welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop for October. Our theme this month is Autumn or Halloween. I have chosen the beautiful Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP to showcase autumn today.
My card started off with my concept of wanting to use the curtain fold on my card. Over this past week, I’ve been showcasing a series called Fun Ways with Designer Series Paper on my blog. Throughout this series, I’ve been sharing ideas and tips for making the most of your DSP.
The curtain fold is great because it shows both sides of our beautiful Designer Series Paper. Particularly with specialty paper such as this, it’s a shame not to be able to see both sides.
I folded the paper at 3cm, 4.5cm, 7.5cm, 9cm, 12cm and so on continuing on a length of DSP which was 26cm long. This gave me sufficient to go across my cardstock. I made a mark with a pencil at 4.5cm from the top on the right side and 2.5cm from the bottom left. Then I cut my paper across at these 2 points. Mountain and valley fold your score lines to form the curtain fold.
I added a pumpkin from the Harvest Hellos which I coloured with Stampin’ Blends. This stamp set also has an apple in the set which coordinates with the matching Apple Builder punch. A few extra leaves were added, including some Brushed Metallic leaves.
This beautiful paper is a must have as it’s copper and gold foil accents adds a richness which enhances the autumn colours of this suite.

Hi crafty friends,
It’s coming to that time of the year when we start thinking of teacher appreciation gifts and cards. In my daytime job, I work in a school office. At Christmastime it’s such a lovely feeling when everyone exchanges gifts and all the staff pigeon holes are overflowing with cards, chocolates and other lovely surprises. This card using the Harvest Hellos would be the perfect thank you for an A+ (for Awesome) teacher.
This bundle comprises of the Harvest Hellos stamp set which includes a pumpkin as well which can be punched out with the Apple Builder punch. Purchase the bundle and you save 10% and this applies to all bundles in our catalogues. This makes a nice saving.

The apple and leaf have been stamped in Tuxedo Black ink and coloured with a combination of Stampin’ Blends. Then these were punched out and attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The stem has been punched out from Early Espresso cardstock.
I used the Stitched Labels dies for my sentiment and embellished the cards with the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels which are another one of what I call, ‘hidden gems’ on Pg 58 of the Holiday Catalogue.

My card has been inspired by the Sunday Stamps Sketch Fun Challenge.

Hi Friends,
Thanks for stopping by my blog – Stamping Flair. A few weeks ago I created this card for Kylie Bertucci’s International Blog Highlights. I was so thrilled to find out that I was picked in the top ten. Thank you so much for voting. You can find out all the details for this card HERE.

Today the top ten winners are participating in a blog hop and I am so excited to take part alongside these talented demonstrators. Thank you to Kylie Bertucci for hosting this event. Our theme for this hop is Encouragement.
It appears that I have stuck to the same kind of imagery – cute little animals. I didn’t even think about it until I started comparing the cards. For today’s cards, I have used the bunny from the beautiful, Nature’s Beauty stamp set which is on Page 63 of the Holiday Catalogue. I stamped the image in Soft Suede on Shimmery White cardstock and then watercoloured it using Balmy Blue, Granny Apple Green, Garden Green, Crushed Curry and Early Espresso Watercolour pencils.

The Come to Gather Designer Series Paper is featured on both my cards. This DSP has images of pumpkins and autumn leaves and is part of the Come to Gather suite. As you can see, the designs work well on any type of project.

The DSP has a bit of a country feel to it and I thought the addition of a strip of Crumb Cake cardstock embossed with the Corrugated embossing folder added a rustic feel to coordinate with the wood DSP. An encouraging sentiment from Harvest Hellos has been added together with the ribbon under the Shimmery White cardstock panel.

Measurements:
- Cajun Craze – 21cm x 14.8cm (scored in half), 7cm x 10.5cm (Stitched Rectangle)
- Crumb Cake – 4cm x 14.5cm, scrap for sentiment
- Pretty Peacock – 2 1/4″ circle
- Shimmery White – 2″ circle
- DSP – 9.9cm x 14.2cm, 5.5cm x 9cm
