New at su Blog Hop – In-Colours 2022-2024
Hello friend, Welcome to the New at SU Blog Hop for May. Today we are sharing with you inspiration using the 2022-2024 In Colours – Sweet Sorbet, Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, Starry Sky and Orchid Oasis.
I’ve picked probably my 3 favourites from this set to use on my card today with the For the Record stamp set. I really love how Tahitian Tide, Parakeet Party and Sweet Sorbet blend together.
To create the multi-coloured look on the record, I used the Stamparatus and Tahitian Tide and Parakeet Party In-Colours. I coloured in the record randomly with the Markers and stamped it several times. Then I inked up the stamp with the 2 colours and spritzed the stamp and re-stamped. This gave the lovely watercolour-washed look. I added some extra definition, individually marking some of the record lines with the Markers. I just love this effect which can be achieved with our our Stampin’ Write Markers.
Some splatters of Sweet Sorbet ink were added by flicking the brush tip of the Marker against the lid. I added some music notes from the Sweet Songbirds stamp set in keeping with the music theme.
