Trio of Simple Sketch Japanese Themed Cards
When I first got the Power of Hope bundle I had plenty of use for the Stone embossing folder but I really wasn’t too sure about the stamp set as it really wasn’t my style. However, I started to create with it and I can tell you it is lovely. I love the simple line images and have so many ideas for this set.
I combined this stamp set with the Botanical Prints Medley for a traditional red, black and white colour scheme. For the card above, I used the tree image to create a border along the sides of the card.
On this card I have used a stamp from the Botanical Prints Medley to create the background. I really love how effective simply stamping in black can be. Then I added a pop of colour with a Real Red Stampin’ Blend.
This layout is great to use up your leftover Designer Series Paper. I find that when I cut a card front from a 6″x6″ piece of paper, I always have a bit leftover. Using DSP as a border frames your stamped image and then add your sentiment just slightly off centre.
