Hi,
I’m back for another blog hop this weekend and what fun I’m having getting to try out different products in the catalogue. The Kre8tors Blog Hop this month is all about masculine themed projects.
I think our new catalogue has an extensive range of products to create with that would suit men’s cards, scrapbook pages, gift wrapping or gift items. One of these is the elegant World of good suite with it’s brass foil accents. The Designer Series Paper is just beautiful.
On my card I have combined the DSP with some cards from the coordinating World of Good Memories & More Card Pack. This pack comes with 50 double sided cards, 6 specialty cards with brass foil, 4 sticker sheets and at $19.25 it is great value.
The only stamping I did on this card was the sentiment, letting the beautiful design of the paper shine. As a finishing touch, I added the Faux Suede trim and the Antiqued Corners which are part of the suite.
Memories & More card packs make really quick and effective cards and are a great addition to your craft stash.
You are currently visiting Rochelle Laird-Smith in Australia. All products that I’ve used on this card are listed at the end of this post. Hello and welcome to our Colour Combo Blog Hop. I’m Rochelle Laird-Smith and I live in Melbourne, Australia. If it is your first time visiting my blog, thank you for stopping by. I really hope you enjoy your time here and visit often. To all my regular subscribers, thank you for reading and interacting with me.
This was another colour combination I wouldn’t have really put together but that’s the idea of a challenge, right? I’m really glad for it because it stretches me to think outside the square.
I took to one of my favourite techniques for this card – watercolouring, together with the Forever Fern bundle. You can get this bundle for free during the month of June. Find out the details at the end of this post.
I started by stamping the larger leaves in Sahara Sand, stamped off. Then I watercoloured these in with my Water Painter in Daffodil Delight and Flirty Flamingo. It’s best to start light and then increase the intensity of colour. I kept my brush tip just damp so I could create the lines on the leaves.
To create the Flirty Flamingo leaves, I spritzed the Shimmery White cardstock with water. Then I inked the stamp with Flirty Flamingo and stamped on the wet cardstock. This gives a different water coloured look to the previous leaf.
I laid this all on a circle embossed with the Ornate Floral 3D embossing folder. The sentiment is from the Well Said stamp and Well Written dies. I have just purchased these. It is a 2 set stamp set so you get a lot of sentiments. Combine it with the die cuts, like I have and you can get several combinations.
Thank you for stopping by my blog today. All products I have used on this project are listed at the bottom of this post. I hope my project inspires you to try different colour combinations that you might not usually try. Why not give this one a try? Next on the hop is Sigrid Joch.
