I love unusual colour schemes for Christmas and this was definitely something a little bit different for our #30DayChristmasCardMakingChallenge. These can be tricky but that’s the point of a challenge. I chose Polished Pink candy canes to start my card off.
The candy canes were fussy cut and layered on die cut candy canes from Polished Pink Cardstock to add more definition. I added lots of leaves from the Christman Banners Dies. Some die cut from Blackberry Bliss Cardstock and others from Fresh Freesia which I highlighted with some Blackberry Bliss ink.
The sentiment was die cut from the Labels Aglow die set. This little circle has fast become one of my favourites. I love the die cut dots around it for just that added little bit of detail.

With 11 shades of Green in the Stampin’ Up! colour range, creating ‘Something Green’ for the #30DayChristmasCardmakingChallenge was quite easy.
I went for the obvious choice – leaves from the Leaves of Holly bundle. This is a two-step stamp set however I’ve been using the detail stamp on it’s own. I love how effective it is stamped here in Mint Macaron.
I added some ink blending on the Soft Sea Foam card base with Mint Macaron ink.

For Day 19 of my Sketchtember Challenge I’ve created a simple and elegant Christmas card using Cherry Cobbler and Gold with some neutrals added in.
I added a Kraft cardstock matte onto the card base and then layered the specialty DSP and foil. Then I added some gold embossing powder to the Textural Elements to coordinate with the Gold Foil layer.
The simple sentiment was stamped on a die cut circle from the Lights Aglow Dies. I added a double layer of Stampin’ Dimensionals so the embossed elements could fit under.
This is a great card to make multiples of in the lead up to Christmas. You could omit the heat embossing and add the Textural Elements in the natural look to quicken the process even more.

It’s cute, Christmas, quick and easy for Day 8 of my Sketchtember Challenge. I’ve let the beautiful paper shine (literally) on this card. I had missed the Metallic & Shimmer Specialty Paper and just got it in my last order. It’s beautiful and can be used on a variety of projects. You get 12 sheets of 6′ x 6″ sheets for only $8.75 – that’s a bargain!
The Lights Aglow paper provides a nice contrast to the Evening Evergreen Metallic Shimmer. I added a sentiment from the Brightest Glow stamp set which has some lovely font. Then I added a few heat embossed stars from the Penguin Place stamp set to fill in the label. Create a batch of these using the different papers in these packs for some quick cards.
