New Home Welcome Card

This was a fun challenge (I think I always say that) but these colour palettes are making me really think outside the box. For Colour Palette #12 I created a ink blended background with Pumpkin Pie. This is a colour I don’t use very often and I really love how it turned out on this card.

By ink blending the background in Pumpkin Pie, then stamping the leaves and also adding a blended border, the various tones and texture in the same colour added depth to my card.

I’ve used the leaf from the Gorgeously Made bundle which has been used so much by me. This is one of my must-have products from the new catalogue.

I die cut a leaf from the Bright and Beautiful Designer Series Paper which straightaway gave it pattern and texture and really gave it an unexpected touch of colour which I love! Mossy Meadow is another colour I don’t use much and I love how it brings all the colours together on this card with this bold leaf.

A sweet little house from the Ringed with Nature stamp set fussy cut and layered makes this a warm welcome to give a new neighbour.

Sweet Songbirds for Sunday Stamps ssc286

I’ve got a sweet card for you today with the Sweet Songbirds bundle. I used both sets of Stampin’ Up! watercolours to colour the Perfectly Penciled DSP and blended them with the Stampin’ Blends Color Lifter. The colours I used were Granny Apple Green, Old Olive Garden Green, Coastal Cabana, Basic Gray and White.

I’ve been creating quite a few of these bird cards for a team challenge so I wanted to try a different look and went with a Kraft bird. The natural tone looks nice against the Balmy Blue from the Awash in Beauty Designer Series Paper. Some fussy cut leaves were added for the bird to perch on.
