Stitched Lace Birthday Card with Vellum Flowers #tgifc277
My card today combines several styles and I really love how they all came together. The delicate lace, soft watercolouring and the lines of the triangle, a rather unusual combination, blended well to create this Stitched Lace birthday card.
The Stitched Triangles Dies are going to be well loved in my crafting. I’ve already been using the coordinating Right Triangle stamp set quite a lot and find so much versatility in them.
I die cut the lacy background from regular Whisper White cardstocck and then stamped with the Poppy fill-in stamp using Highland Heather third generation stamping. This means that I stamped off on a scrap paper twice so I got a very faint colour on my cardstock. Then I stamped with Seaside Spray giving the stamp a circular twist while stamping so the image wasn’t defined. I spritzed some water over the colours to give it a watercolour wash look, taking care not to saturate the cardstock. Using a heat gun on Setting 1 speeds up the drying process.
The Plush Poinsettia Vellum DSP creates some beautiful flowers using the Small Bloom punch. I’ve dotted the centres with the Playing with Patterns Resin Dots.
The linen thread is a strand I pulled out from the Tri-colour linen tread in the Flowers for Every Season combo. Once you do this you will still have the silver and white to use on another project.
I’ve been inspired by the sketch challenge at TGIF Challenges #TGIFC277 for this card. All the products I have used for this card are listed below. To order, click on any of the products which will take you to my Online Store.
