The Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue retiring list has been released and many of our much-loved products are set to go. Generally, In-Color products will be one of the first items to run out. Shop early so you don’t miss out on your favourite papercrafting and cardmaking supplies.
PRODUCTS ARE AVAILABLE ONLY WHILE STOCKS LAST!
The Band Together stamp set and coordinating Detailed Band Dies featured in these cards are retiring. The intricate bands are lovely and you have a nice variety of sentiments to use on the outside and inside of cards.
To create the above card I used my blending brushes with some Mango Melody, Magenta Madness and Gorgeous Grape inks on Basic White cardstock. Then I embossed it with the Tin Tile Embossing Folder (now retired). The band across creates such an intricate frame.
This next card has been embossed first and then I took my Rococo Rose ink pad direct to the Pearlescent paper. The flowers were coloured in using sponge daubers – a simple and quick way to add colour to your images.

This time of year, we are all excited to see the beautiful products that are going to be in the new catalogue. At the same time, we are a little bit sad to see some of our favourite items retiring. Our Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop today is going to showcase lots of our retiring products.

I chose a stamp set I hadn’t even inked up which was going to retire.Sigh! Do you have stamp sets like that? Capture the Good stamp set is great for scrapbook pages with it’s camera image and perfect to make a card for for photography enthusiasts.

I didn’t want a plain old black camera and I had this arty thing in my mind which I wanted a multi coloured camera. So off I went to Google images. Do you know that’s really great for inspiration? I came across this artwork of a camera which was splattered with colour and it was just what I was wanting to do so I set about creating something like it.
I stamped the camera in Stazon ink. Then I added pigment sprinkles – a colour at a time. As a fond farewell to our beloved Pigment Sprinkles, I used them all! It’s important to let each colour dry between applications otherwise it will become a muddy mess. To create the circular shape of the lens, I used an Aqua Painter to move the colour around.

As my main image was busy with colour, I kept my background minimal by stamping the sentiment multiple times in Black. Then I added a strip of Basic Black cardstock embossed with the Absolutely Argyle embossing folder. The symmetrical pattern of the embossing folder brings out the magic of the Pigment Sprinkles.

The beautiful Christmastime is Here suite has some wonderful products in it. I love the Distinktive stamp set and my absolute favourite is the Designer Series Paper. It has gorgeous festive roses, seasonal prints and gold foil accents on one side. It is luxurious and very pretty.
Cassidy had a gift ready for her clarinet teacher and I thought the colours of this suite worked in perfectly to create a coordinated gift.

To create the card i just layered some Whisper White cardstock on a Cherry Cobbler card base. Then I added a layer of that gorgeous Designer Paper. The floral accent has been die cut from the Designer Paper. You can whip up a whole batch of these in no time.
The gift tag uses the Christmas Countdown stamp set. This is a stamp set that has been well used by me and I love all the images in it. It’s versatile and it works for focal images or backgrounds.

The gift tag is a 5cm x 8.5cm piece of cardstock. To create the tag top, measure and mark with pencil 1cm from the top (downwards) on the left and right. Then measure 1cm from top (inwards) from the left and right. Join the marking to form the corners and snip the edges.
I stamped the image in Old Olive and used Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive Stampin’ Write Markers to colour in the stamped image. I’ve used the sentiment from Itty Bitty Christmas.

The Christmastime is Here suite is available while supplies last. Also check out the Year End Closeout for products from the Holiday Catalog which are retiring.
