It’s a bright and cheerful good morning from Melbourne as the Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Insta Hop share inspiration with Daffodil Delight. Part of our Brights collection, Daffodil Delight is a colour that can just lift your spirts. Its just such a ‘happy’ colour.
The pot and flowers are from the new Country Flowers bundle in our Stampin’ Up! 2024-2025 Annual Catalogue. It’s one of my favourites. I’m sure you can tell by the amount I’ve used it already! I coloured the pot with Stampin’ Blends and Watercolour Pencils to achieve a lovely blended look.
BACKGROUND
I wanted to create a bit of a funky background with some masking. As I didn’t have any masks with the shape that I actually wanted nor did I have a die that worked, I set out to make my own shape using the guitar die from the Rocck Star bundle. I die cut the guitar out of a 1/4 sheet of Cardstock. Then I placed it over the die cut hole and cut into the Cardstock again to form a larger hole with a more fluid shape.
Moving this mask around the page, I was able to create the fun background. I added some dots with the circle stamp from the Planted Paradise stamp set. For some delicate detail, I used the circles from the Stylish Shapes along with a Black Stampin’ Write Marker to create dashes and spots along the bottom right.
Behind the flowers I added the plectrum from the Rock Star dies and embossed it with the Eyelet Embossing Folder which is also part of the Country Flowers suite. I just love this unusual shape and the interest it adds against these flowers.
I hope you have enjoyed my creation with Daffodil Delight. Make sure you subscribe to my newsletter for lots more inspiration each week.

Pumpkin Pie – it’s one of those colours that hasn’t had a lot of love from me. Do you find you have some colours like that? The time had to come with our Monochromatic Insta Hop where we featured the beauty of Pumpkin Pie.
A guitar from the Rock Star bundle was perfect with this colour. I stamped it in Stazon ink on Fluid 100 Cardstock and watercoloured it with Pumpkin Pie ink refill and a Water Painter. This allowed me to get different variations of the colour.
The sentiment was stamped on a piece of Cardstock which I had in my ‘spare parts’ pile. Last week I created a background with Pumpkin Pie using one of our masks but I really wasn’t feeling anything creative with it. So I set it aside for another time and this project was it.
The Country Woods Designer Series Paper used in the background is a new release from the upcoming Annual Catalogue. I blended Pumpkin Pie ink over it to coordinate with our theme.
To create the lightning bolts, I blended Pumpkin Pie ink over a piece of the Calypso Coral DSP from the Hello, Irresistible pack. After die cutting these, I heat embossed each one in Clear Embossing Powder 4 times to create an embellishment.
I coordinated the musical theme with embossing using the Merry Melody Embossing Folder and some music notes from the Sweet Songbirds stamp set. Both these products and the Rock Star bundle and coordinating suite are retiring. Make sure you add them to your stash if you love some music themed projects.

Happy Saturday friends, It’s lovely to be able to share with you my first card using the Rock Star bundle. I’m a fan of all music stamp sets so this particular suite was going to end up with me at some stage. I just got it in last week and I love all the fun options that are available with the stamps, dies, embellishments and the black and white Designer Series Paper. It’s a great guy set and those black and white papers are so versatile.
I followed the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #fms626 . I started by inking up my guitar in Tuxedo Black. Then I wiped back the neck end of the guitar with a paper towel and coloured the stamp with the Starry Sky Stampin’ Write Marker. I added any details that may have come off with the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker. Then I stamped and die cut the image. On top of this I stamped a texture image from the Of Art & Texture stamp set. This is part of our Online Exclusives range. I really love how this stamp added just that little bit of colour to the image.
For the background some Shimmery White Embossing Paste was coloured with Starry Sky ink refill before application. The shimmer is so much fun and adds to the rock star look of this card. I applied it fairly thick as I wanted a more uneven, textured look.
I die cut a circle using the Stylish Shapes dies and added some blending through a mask. This was cut in half to form the sketch. The guitar was added on top with a pick die cut from Silver Foil. To complete the card I added a heat embossed sentiment with a little star from the embellishments in the Rock & Roll suite.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a lovely weekend and a long weekend if you are in Melbourne!
