Step-it-Up Sunday #36 Picked for You – Teacher Appreciation
Hi everyone,
With the end of the school year not too far away, a lot of us think of what gifts we can give those awesome teachers who teach our children daily. Today I have made a teacher appreciation card. A handmade card would be a lovely addition to a thoughtful gift and I’m sure well received by many a grateful teacher.
The stamp I’ve used is the Picked for You stamp set which has a 4 step apple and some lovely sentiments. I ‘picked’ the one for a teacher.
Colour Combination
Basic
Stamp the Apple using Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo stamped off once.
Add the stem and sentiment in Soft Suede, matching the strip of cardstock behind the Whisper White panel.
Intermediate
To add extra texture to this card, emboss a panel of Whisper White cardstock with the Layered leaves embossing folder. Adhere this to card base. Mount the stamped panel onto Pear Pizzazz cardstock and mont with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stamp another apple, fussy cut and layer over the other one on the base.
Advanced
This card can be enhanced by adding 4 sections of Whisper White cardstock which have been stamped with Bokeh Dots stamp in Pear Pizzazz.
To make the apple look juicy and shiny, emboss it with clear embossing powder 3 times.
I wanted the Sofy Suede strip to show more so I put it above the embossed cardstock and the Bokeh Dots. Layer some ribbon on this.
Your card is now complete to give a special teacher who is part of your son or daughter’s life.
