I couldn’t resist this image from the Jolly Words stamp set for our Santa’s Sleigh theme of the #30DayChristmasCardmakingChallenge
I stamped the image and then enjoyed the colouring process of this cute image. Then as an afterthought I decided it would be nice to create a moonglow in the back as if Santa and his reindeer were flying through the sky. I used a circle die and blended Lemon Lolly ink on the inside of the circle. Then I took the die out and blended Balmy Blue ink around the glow of light. It’s a very subtle look which is not defined so it was easy to create.
For the background, I had a piece of Specialty Paper which I had accidentally run over with my chair so it was completely scrunched up. Instead of throwing it out I made the nost of the scrunched look and ran it through the Painted Texture Embossing Folder and the crumpled paper just added extra exture. You know how crafters don’t throw things away?

Welcome to Stamping Flair in Melbourne, Australia. I’m blog hopping with my friends at the New at SU team and the theme is Happy Holidays. I have chosen the Wishes & Wonder bundle to highlight. With it’s reindeer and sleigh and other images, it is a very cute set to work with. I particularly like the tag that is in the dies.
I have used the Curvy Dies for the background along with the coordinating stamp set. This is part of the Quite Curvy Variety Bundle which you get at 10% discount when purchasing as a bundle. The stamped trees were shaded in the Dark Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blend to give some light colour.
The reindeer were stamped in Early Espresso on Sahara Sand cardstock and then shaded with Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. This method of stamping and colouring is a quick way to get shading without spending too much time on colouring in.
I cut out one section of the Wonder of the Season Designer Series Paper for the tag. Then I ran only the bottom section through with the die to create the detailed edge as I didn’t want the tag punched out at the top.
Thank you for stopping by my blog and I hope it has inspired you with some creative ideas for the holidays. Please follow the hop through for lots of fun holiday projects and leave us comments as you go along as we love hearing from you.
