Clear Block Technique with Touched my Heart Stamp Set

Hi,

Hope you are enjoying a relaxing weekend. Sometimes, it’s a bit of catching up on things isn’t it? Today, I’m sharing with you a card using the beautiful Touched My Heart stamp set.

You can find this set on Page 187 of the Annual Catalogue. It’s a Host Stamp set and you can use Stampin’ Rewards to purchase this stamp set. Any individual orders or workshops over $250 earn Stampin’ Rewards which can be used to purchase Host sets or anything else in the catalogue. You can also use Stampin’ Rewards to purchase the Starter Kit which gets you a minimum of 20% off all future orders.

I’ve been creating a few cards with the Touched my Heart stamp set lately and love the beautiful flourish style, leaf images in it.  Yesterday, I created a couple of cards using this stamp set in my Online Workshop. You can view the video in my Online Workshop and Events Group. I also have a special ordering special available until Tuesday 21st July so you don’t want to miss out on that!

I started of by creating the Colour Blocking technique on a piece of Shimmery White cardstock.

Colour Block Technique

  • Apply Crumb Cake ink pad directly to the bottom of Clear Block
  • Apply Cinnamon Cider ink pad directly to the centre of Clear Block (wipe off any that may have applied to the top)
  • Turn block so the top is now at the bottom. This will help you you to apply the Real Red on the top 1/3 of the Clear Block.
  • Keep the Clear Block flat on your desk or hold it flat. Then spritz with water using a spritzer.
  • Take Clear Block and apply directly to chosen cardstock.

I heat embossed the leaf in White Embossing Powder and then added some extra leaves in Cinnamon Cider. This is such a beautiful colour combination which has been inspired by the Colour Inkspiration Challenge CI81.

I was inspired by our CEO Sara Douglas who showed us some fun techniques with our Embossing Paste in her FB live last week. It’s been a while since I’ve had fun with Embossing Pastes so I thought I’d get into it.

Here I’ve added a drop of Real Red ink refill to the embossing paste and applied it through the mask to create a background.

Several ribbons combine to embellish this card. I separated the cheese cloth style ribbon from the Forever Greenery Trim to create the strands in my cluster of ribbon trim.

You can make this card using the products I have listed at the bottom of this post. Click on any of the products to be taken direct to my Online Store. Until 3rd August, every $90 you spend will earn you a $9 Bonus Days voucher which you can spend in August. All orders of $50 or more receive Stamping Flair Loyalty Points.
