I got some new goodies this week and I thought I’d use them for the first time on this card. The Happy Hibiscus bundle will be available for purchase on the 5th of November as part of our Online Exclusives range. Demonstrators had the opportunity to purchase this a month earlier in pre-order.
This bundle includes a stamp set and a hybrid die set and embossing folder. It’s simply beautiful.
The stamp set is a two-step stamp set which means that you can stamp the outline and then there is a separate stamp to fill-in the inside with colour. This makes colouring an image very quick. What I found with this particular set was that it was extra easy to line up those images as well.
Now, if you are a colouring enthusiast, like me, you can choose to colour those images as well. However, in this case, I went with stamping. I did add some extra detail on the flowers and the leaves with Watercolour Pencils which adds some lovely highlights.
To form the rectangle part of the sketch, I die cut a label from the Flowering Zinnias Designer Series Paper using the Radiating Stitches dies and trimmed off part of the die cut. Then I layered the flowers and leaves on top of it. The sentiment was die cut with the label die which comes in the bundle and layered on a couple of strips of paper from the same pack.
I embellished my card with some Twisted Gold Thread (another new product you will LOVE) and sequins in multiple colours.

I’ve got another sweet card suing the Beautifully Happy stamp set today. This stamp set is a free earn during Sale-A-Bration with a $180 order. I used the Beautifully Happy stamp set to create this card. This set is a FREE product which is available during Sale-A-Bration. This two-step stamp set gives you an outline image and the second set of stamps to ‘colour’ the inside. So it’s really quick to do multiples of this.
The background was embossed with the Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder. I added some swishes of watercolouring over it which just add a soft background under the flowers. To finish, I added some Burlap ribbon which is my favourite ribbon in the new Mini Catalogue and a few Brushed Brass Butterflies.

I stamped the hummingbird in two-step stamping and adding the Magenta Madness with a sponge dauber. Then I added extra definition with Stampin’ Blends. The flowers were coloured in a combination of pink Stampin’ Blends and fussy cut.
All this was laid out on a laser-cut sheet which I sponged with Magenta Madness to coordinate with my colour palette.

The touch of ink stamp set is a Tier 2 Sale-A-Bration offering. It’s a two-step stamp set and what this means is that the first image stamps the outline, while the next will fill in the colour. This stamp set is what I would also call a ‘forgiving’ stamp set. I just love that the fill-in image is not precise. So if you’re slightly out in alignment, it doesn’t look wrong and it ‘forgives’ you!
This first card I created is quick to make and is great if you need something in a hurry or if you are starting out in cardmaking. It just involves SIP (Stamps, Ink and Paper) and a few Matte Black Dots which is one of my favourite products in this catalogue.
For my next card, I used our fabulous new Blending Brushes (another fave!) to add a stepped up element. Check out my video below to see how lovely these brushes are to use.
Some extra detail with an embossing folder and a heat embossed image step this card up for the Avid crafter. With several sentiments included, this stamp set can be used for a variety of occasions and is suitable for whichever level of crafting you may be at.
