Step-it-Up Sunday #16 Varied Vases
Hi Everyone,
Happy Sunday. How has your week been? The week gone by has been busy for me with my regular job at which I work 4 days a week plus getting ready for classes and Catalogue Launch next weekend. My head is swimming with ideas for projects so I do a few at a time and just have to be patient until I get to try all the ideas out.
Step-it-Up Sunday today features the Varied Vases Bundle. The set of stamps is a two-step stamp set which has many vases, flowers, leaves and sentiments. There are outline images and fill in images which enable you to add instant colour to your vases and flowers. It’s maximum effect for little effort. The bundle includes a matching Vase Builder punch which has several vases, a flower and a leaf. There are so many variations you can create using these different elements.

The Basic card is created with some layers of Designer Series Paper. Die cut an oval and stamp the vase and flowers in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Then add colour to the flowers with Pineapple Punch with your second stamp. I used my Stamparatus and this made it light work to align the second stamp. The ribbon is adhered with 2 pieces of tear and tape attached at the back, onto which you then attach your ribbon.

Punch the corners using the Detailed Trio Punch. I find this this an extremely useful tool with the detailed corner, corner rounder, and the little tag insert. The corner rounder in itself is so useful when wanting just a different look for the edging of your base card. Stamp the vase on spare cardstock and mount with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then attach this onto a Basic Black matte.

Attach Grapefruit Grove cardstock behind the punched out sections of the corners. Stamp a piece of Whisper White Cardstock with the Marble stamp in Gray Granite then punch out with smaller vase and attach with Dimensionals. The plant is made up of 3 leaves. Stamp patterned vase in Gray Granite, punch out and attach with glue. Gray Granite is a favourite of mine. It’s a great neutral colour and tones in well with a lot of our colours.
Stamp flowers, fussy cut and attach with Dimensionals.
Add some leaves to the sentiment with Old Olive stamped off once.
Give the various combinations of these vases a try. With the many combinations available to us each card will be different. I’ve seen them in ceramic, wood and porcelain, patterned and clear. They all look beautiful.
