Welcome …. again! If you are a regular to my blog, you would have seen that this is my 2nd blog hop this evening. I’m aiming to keep you inspired for the week! It’s the Caseing the Catty Challenge CTC502 and the crew are caseing projects from the Sale-A-Bration or SAB catalogue.
I was inspired to recreate the sunburst look featured on this scrapbook page which is just beautiful in softer colours.
I chose the Bloom Impressions and Wildflower Birthday DSP to recreate the look. Some Coastal Cabana Cardstock was added to break up all the designs in the paper. I embossed it with the Starstruck Embossing Folder. This folder and the Bloom Impressions Designer Series Paper are Sale-A-Bration offerings which you can get free with a $100 order.
I cut apart strips of paper 3cm in width and the length varied, with the longest being 12cm. Each strip was then cut diagonally to form the triangle.
Then it was just a matter of laying the strips in a design that was pleasing to the eye. I really love how all these designs just came together and look so beautiful set out this way. It’s such a fun way to use up scrap paper too!
A white die cut label brings it all together while hiding the not-so-pretty’ join in the centre.
The flowers and leaves were die cut from Basic White Cardstock and I added the colour with a Blending Brush. The heat embossed sentiment adds a nice pop against the softer colours around it.
As a finishing touch, the flowers were dotted with the Purple Adhesive Backed Sequins which are a SAB product. This is a ‘must-have’ product from the collection. Although it says purple, it is really versatile and has white sequins which can be coloured to suit any project.

Hello and welcome to the first Around the World on Wednesday blog hop for 2025. We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who share inspiration on the 2nd Wedneesday of each month. We always have a fun theme which is carefully selected by our leader, Angie Mckenzie. This month it’s a fun This or That challenge. Hmmm, with new products, there are so many ways to interpret this. The choices are as unlimited as your imagination.
I threw ideas around and finally settled on the Wildflower Designer Series Paper as my base product. I just love this paper which comes in a 12″x12″ pack and includes 2 sheets of die cut images which are perfect for layering and adding to your projects as focal points. I’ve combined several products to create my This or That – Balloons or Beach! This could be Pink or Blue, His or Hers, Elegant or…. Bogan (the poor seagulls) Ha! Ha!
In the Wildflower DSP pack, there are a couple of double-sided sheets that are divided into sections with images and tags. I used a couple of tags and trimmed the top section off so I was left with the rectangle.

BALLOON CARD
I wanted to create a soft, party style card and incorporated a few different products. The party hat is from the Day to Celebrate Sale-a-Bration stamp set. This is a really fun set and has a good range of images and sentiments which can be used for cardmaking and scrapbooking.
I added some balloons from the Filled with Fun bundle and a cake from the Attention Shoppers bundle because what’s a party without cake, right? The Starstruck Embossing Folder is another of our Sale-A-Bration offerings and adds to the soft feminine look I wanted on this card.
To complete this card I aded the beautiful Gold Open Weave trim and some sequins from the SAB free product range.
BEACH CARD
I can’t help but smile when I see these seagulls and these are a must-have from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue. It’s like you can imagine their personalities and they look so naughty – I love it! I loved the stripes tag that gave a masculine feel to this card. Oh I know, I added Linen Thread and gems and that was the end of that but it could definitely be a guy card.
I incorporated several elements from the Beach Days stamp and die set and some die cut coral from the Beauty of the Deep dies to complete the nautical look.
Both these cards follow the tag sketch on Page 12 of the Mini Catalogue, 2nd row, 5th from the left. These sketches are so useful and can be adapted, as I have done, to suit your project.

Happy New Year! Welcome to our first Caseing the Catty Challenge for 2025. CTC501 challenge is to CASE a project from the upcoming 2025 January – April Mini Catalogue which launches on the 7th of January – just 2 days away!
My creation has been inspired by the layout of a card in the Delightful Wishes Suite on Page 37 of the catalogue. I’ve taken that sketch and added my own spin using the stunning Wildflower Birthday Designer Series Paper (DSP). This beautiful DSP is part of a larger suite that includes a coordinating stamp and die bundle, ribbon, and embellishments.
When placing my pre-order from the catalogue, I settled on just the Designer Series Paper for my first order. Let me tell you, the bundle is on my shopping list for my next order. The Wildflower Birthday DSP is a 12″ x 12″ pack featuring 2 sheets each of 5 double-sided designs, plus 2 sheets of a single-sided design with pre-printed die cuts. These die cuts made quick work of my focal elements, making this card both beautiful and easy to create!
I enhanced the floral arrangement by adding some extra leaves using the Thoughtful Wishes Dies, cut out from Soft Sea Foam Cardstock and blended with Old Olive ink at the base to resemble the leaves from the DSP.
Adding some white punched out leaves using the Bough Punch kept the fresh look of this card. The leaves were splattered with the Dark Pretty in Pink Stampin’ Blend for some texture.
The sentiment is from the new Greetings for All Mix & Match Ephemera Pack which has greetings for all occasions. There are several sheets of sentiments in Black and White. I cut apart the Happy Birthday to fit with my card design.
Some sequins from the Purple Adhesive-Backed Sequin pack coordinates beautifully with the colours. This pack is a freebie during Sale-A-Bration and can be earned with a $100 order. As a finishing touch for this card I punched out some hearts from the DSP using the Humble Home punch and added them to the banner – this made my heart happy!
