Watercolouring with Ink Refills – Perfectly Pears Bundle

For my Craft & Chat Live Class this week, I chose the Painterly Pears Suite to feature on my card. The Perfectly Pears Bundle includes a stamp set with images of  delicate pear blossoms, luscious fruits, graceful leaves, and timeless sentiments. This is a two-step Distinktive stamp set which has a special texture that gives added depth and dimension in a single step, creating photo-realistic images.

With July being World Watercolour Month, I chose to watercolour this set of pears and the leaves. I stamped the images in Saddle Brown Stazon Ink and then painted them with Ink Refills and a Water Painter.

I have followed this sketch at the Global Design Project #gdp506, using the Painterly Pears Designer Series Paper on either side of the main image.

This paper is rich and exquisite and you could use the design heavy side or pick the simpler patterns for your project. Fussy cut images to use as focal points and get even more creative uses for your pack of paper.

The centre panel was layered and I added texture with the Mini Corrugated Embossing Folder.

I stamped the sentiment in Secret Sea Ink on Petal Pink, coordinating with the flowers on the patterned paper on the base of the card.

The little cluster of Petal Pink flowers were lightly watercoloured in Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral to blend in with the colours of my card. Then I cut the flowers apart and placed them around the card, adding some of the gorgeous Low Profile Sparkle Dots in the centre.
