Hi,

Welcome to my blog, Stamping Flair. I am a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator in Victoria, Australia. So I hope you enjoy your journey with us this Wednesday.

This is such an exciting time in the Stampin’ Up! family where we get to play with all our new products from the brand new Annual catalogue. Have you got a favourite product or maybe it’s several favourites? I have several suites and stamp sets that I love. However, I did have to make a choice and it happened to be one of the products in the suite that steered me towards the decision I made.

The Forever Greenery Suite. Aaaah, there’s green and then there’s Forever Greenery! Isn’t it beautiful? It’s got shades of green and blue. So what do you think might have just tipped me in it’s direction? Those Gold Laser Cut papers- yes, they are just beautiful. Apart from that, I am loving the smaller size. At 9¾” x 10″ it’s much easier to handle than the previous laser cut papers which were at 12″x12″.

I have incorporated all the products in this suite on my cards including the beautiful Forever Greenery embossing folders. These will fit in our soon-to-be-released Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. I’ve combined the gold laser cut elements with some stamped leaves. The stamp was inked up in Soft Sea Foam and then inked around the edges using a sponge dauber in Pretty Peacock to achieve the dual-colours.

On the next card I used the debossed side of the embossing folder and added some colour using a sponge dauber. Those Gold Hoops are so cute and add a lovely detail to projects. The back panel has been embossed with the Old World Paper embossing folder. This actually creases the cardstock – just like old paper! I love it.

This gorgeous wreath is the centrepiece of my third card. I’ve added some die cut elements including some dual-coloured stamped leaves of Old olive and Bermuda Bay, the same way I did on the previous card.

Thank you for visiting me today and I hope you come back soon. I hope you have been inspired by my cards and I would appreciate you leaving me a comment as I do love hearing from you.  All the products I have used are listed at the bottom of this post. Best Friend’s Day #ci78

Today is Best Friend’s Day and I created a card inspired by the colour combination at Colour Inkspiration Challenges for it. Gray Granite is such a lovely neutral shade and combined with Blushing Bride and Early Espresso it really is a beautiful combination.

I added a die cut layer from the Many Medallion dies in Gray Granite onto my Gray Granite card base.

Layering  in the same colour adds depth to a project. Don’t you just love the detail in the die? You need to run the die a couple of times through your die cutting machine to make sure all the little bits come out of the cut out piece. Using the Die Brush Tip from the Take Your Pick Tool makes life so much easier.

The Whisper White panel has been stamped with images from the Lovely You stamp set. These images are great for creating background panels. This stamp set comes bundles with the Pick a Punch which create 6 types of tags/labels. Purchasing items marked as a bundle in the catalogue saves you 10% on the price. The sentiment is also from the Lovely You stamp set and is perfect for a special friendship for Best Friend’s Day.

You can get the Many Mates Bundle or the Lovely You bundle – FREE or you can choose any other bundle you like. See details below.

Flowers for Every Season Friendship Card

Hi friend,

Hope you are enjoying your long weekend. I’ve been having fun creating with the beautiful Flowers for Every Season Memories & More card pack. I’ve created this Friendship card using the sentiment from the Well Said stamp set

Greeting Card with

Co-ordinating with this is the Flowers for Every Season Memories & More Cards & Envelopes which are in all our new In-Colours. I’ve used the Magenta Madness card for my base today. With it’s pretty envelopes, it’s a lovely addition to my craft stash.

Papercrafting Ready Made cards and envelopes

The circle has been stamped with the reversible line image in the stamp set, using our stamp positioning tool – the Stamparatus, which makes it so easy to create repeat patterned images like this. Fussy cut images from the Memories & More pack and the Designer Series Paper create this lovely bouquet of flowers.

Joy of Sets Blog Hop – Floral

Hi Friends,

Welcome to my blog and a very happy Mother’s Day to all Mums and care-givers. It is the early hours of Sunday, here in Melbourne. I hope you have a lovely day celebrating, in what is possibly, a very different way this year. Our floral theme for the Joy of Sets blog hop is appropriate as I’m sure many mums will be receiving flowers today

I’ve got a couple of coordinated projects featuring the Peaceful Poppies suite.

Handmade card with Stampin' Up! Peaceful Poppies suite

The Peaceful Poppies Elements are the main feature on my card and pillow box. I used the die cut elements which were already coloured as well as the water-colour die cut elements which are embossed images. These were coloured in with Stampin’ Write Markers and blended with a Blender Pen.

Kraft Pillow Box Gift Box decorated with Stampin' Up! Peaceful Poppies

The Kraft Pillow Box has been dressed in a similar way to the card using the Stitched Labels Dies. These are retiring and I’m going to miss these pretty lace-edged dies.

Coordinated card and gift box with flowers-Peaceful Poppies Elements

You will notice, on the card, that I die cut the label and poppy from one of the Kraft Pillow Boxes. On the circle with the sentiment, I added some Soft Suede stripes in a Stampin’ Write Marker. This suite makes it so easy to create these coordinated projects and the Peaceful Poppies Elements really make it so much quicker.

Tropical Sunshine & Smiles

Last week I took part in a fun In-Colour Challenge where each participant was given a piece of cardstock, Designer Series Paper, ribbon in an In-Colour and also a gold foil-edged card to create something in our own style. I received Terracotta Tiile. I was so pleased because I think this is a nice blend against the gold. The Gold Foil Edged cards are great value at $17.50 for 20 foil edged cards and envelopes. They come in silver too and are perfect for Christmas cards.

Tropical Hibiscus flower handmade card,

I watercoloured a hibiscus from the Tropical Oasis stamp set and mixed several colours so it toned in with Terracotta Tile. The background layer is a faux suede Whisper White piece of cardstock. You can find out how to create the faux suede technique here.

The gold foil leaves are from the retiring Tropical Dies. I am going to miss this set so much. Those palm leaves and that die cut inset – so beautiful. I fussy the sentiment from one of the cards in the Memories & More card pack and I think this is so apt for the current situation we find ourselves in. A great pick me up card for someone who needs some encouragement.
