Hello and welcome to our New at SU Blog Hop. This month we are aiming to make your life a bit easier with some packaging for Gift Cards and Gift Certificates because we know how busy these next few weeks are going to be.
I’m using the Sending Cheer bundle which is a really fun bundle to create gift tags. For today’s gift card holder I’m pairing it with the Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper.
The original design for this holder was inspired by one I’d seen by Marie Shaughnessy. I CASEd (Copy and Selectively Edit) the design and adapted with the products I am using. No need to re-invent the wheel when someone has done the hard work already and created such a fun project! I just converted the imperial measurements to metric and here they both are.
MEASUREMENTS
Lost Lagoon 10.0 cm x 28.0 cm (4″ x 11″)
Soft Sea Foam 11.0 cm x 8.0 cm (4 1/4″ x 3″)
INSTRUCTIONS
Score Lost Lagoon Cardstock on the long side at 10.0 cm, 14.0 cm and 18.0 cm (4″, 5 1/2″, 7″)
Fold as follows – Valley, Mountain, Valley
Adhere DSP to the back inside panel
Adhere the 2 bases of the Mountain fold together and fold flap towards the inside
Add glue or Tear & Tape to the sides of the flap and adhere to the back (this will form your pocket)
For the box lid – Score Soft Sea Foam Cardstock on the short side at 4.0 cm (1 1/2″)
Adhere the inside back of the lid to the upper back of the present base
Add DSP and embellish
I die cut the bow from More Dazzle Glimmer Paper and Moody Mauve Cardstock using the gift die in the Sending Cheer dies. This was then layered and attached under the Designer Series Paper.
Please leave me a comment and let me know whether you’ll be giving this little gift card holder a try and check out all our other talented team members for their fun ideas to wrap up the holiday season!

With just 3 days left to Christmas, the New at SU team have got some last minute gift tag inspiration for you for our last blog hop for the year.
I’ve been busy wrapping gifts with my daughter, Cassidy over the last few days. Our lounge looks like Santa’s workshop (albeit a bit chaotic), with all designs of wrapping paper strewn about and gifts waiting to be embellished. Today, I’ve got some seasonal and non-seasonal tags using the Celebrations Tags dies which are on the Last Chance list and some sneak peeks from our upcoming Mini and Sale-A-Bration catalogues.
For this first project, I created a gift card holder using the Celebrations dies. I’ve added another tag which I cut in half as a layering element from the Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper. This is a free pack of 48 sheets of 12″x12″ paper you can earn during Sale-A-Bration, which begins 5th January. I’ve used the same paper for the front of the gift card holder.
The silver circle is from the Like an Animal Specialty Designer Series Paper which is from the upcoming Mini Catalogue. I coloured the white lines with a Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blend to coordinate with the tag. The snowflake was heat embossed in clear embossing powder 3 times to give it a beautiful glossy finish. A Pastel Pearl ‘button’ coloured with the Dark Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Blend finishes off this sweet gift card holder.
For these gift cards I used some of the beautiful Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper from the Sale-A-Bration Catalogue. This is another freebie you can earn and this coordinates with the Fragrant Flowers bundle from the Mini Catalogue.
I fussy cut some of the flowers from the DSP, leaving a border around the edges. The black edge just made those flowers pop.
I added a coordinating strip of DSP around the base of the box which works in well with the gift tag.
Since creating these projects, the Celebrations Tags dies have sold out. The Mini Pocket Envelope Dies would make a good substitute.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have enjoyed this sneak peek of new products. Please follow our hop through for lots more ideas for creating some special tags for your gifts. We’d love for you to leave us a comment as you go through.

Two days in a row and I’ve reached for the retired stash. This time it’s the coordinating dies for theTrees for Sale stamp set which was a Sale-A-Bration product. You know I have never used this lights image before? Great to be giving life to these stamps for the #30DayChristmasCardMakingChallenge.
The Christmas Lights stamp set which is currently on the Last Chance list would be great for this theme as well (except I don’t have it). The coordinating dies are on sale so you could get this at a really great price.
I stamped the image several times and die cut it then added it to a tag. I die cut this from Shimmery White Cardstock painted with a wash of Polished Pink. Then I added a blending of Craft Ink over for a look of ‘light’ and added Polished Pink through a mask for extra detail.
This card is simple in design yet filled with little interesting details for the recipient to look over and enjoy.
Our Last Chance sale is on right now and there are lots of bargains to be had in there as well as on our Clearance Rack. Check out the Specials here. Products are available while supplies last so don’t miss out on these super specials.

Welcome to the New at SU Blog Hop for November. With Christmas just around the corner, gift cards are often given as gifts. I must say, I for one, don’t give a lot of gift cards as I love the process of looking for gifts to give a loved one. If you do have some gift cards to give out, you need something cute to package it in and we have got some lovely ideas for you.
I’ve got a super simple gift card holder and I’ve used Mini Pocket Envelope Dies to create mine. These dies also have some cute accessories to decorate your projects including some labels. Right now during the Stampin’ Up! seasonal sale you can get these dies for $40.80 (regular price $51). Our seasonal sale ends on 18th November.
To create the gift card holder, just die cut from your favourite Designer Series Paper, score on the pre-scored lines and glue. It is that simple.
I’ve used the Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper to create mine. This paper is available while supplies last. It’s so pretty and I love the floral side and then of course there’s checks and I love those too. So I used them both for my gift card holders today.
The floral image was coloured with Stampin’ Blends to coordinate with the DSP. I added some Kraft leaves for a bit of contrast. The sentiments are from the Brightest Glow stamp set which has a nice range in different fonts and sizes. It even has a ‘Happy New Year’ in it.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope this helps you create some quick projects during this busy time. For more inspiration please follow our blog hop through and leave us a comment as you visit and enjoy these projects.

Hi and welcome to my blog here in Melbourne on your travel Around the World with us today. We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who share inspiration on the 2nd Wednesday of the month.
I must say this theme had me in a bind with no inspiration until last night. I scoured Pinterest (as one does) and came across this fabulous gift bag by Kim Price. It’s the easiest gift bag I have ever come across and I was in! If a 3D project is overly complicated I tend to lose interest quickly so this one was just what I needed. I could construct the basic bag in under 5 minutes – dare I say, 3 minutes.
All you need is a piece of 6”x6” Designer Series Paper and then you can embellish it as much or as little as you like. This would look lovely at a place setting filled with chocolates. You could add some hand lotion or tealights and personalise it with the initial or name of your guest to make it even more special.
I created this cute bag on my Creative Escape FB Live tonight. View it HERE.
