Hello and welcome to the New at SU Blog Hop. This month we are CASEing a project from the Stampin’ Up! January-April Mini catalogue.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO C.A.S.E.?
There are a couple of variations that I’ve heard. These being Copy And Share Everything or Copy And Selectively Edit. I’ve chosen a project on Page 68 from the Enjoy the Ride suite. I’ll be CASEing the layout of the card on the top right with the sentiment ‘Dad You’re the Coolest’.
You really don’t need Pinterest (ok, maybe you do sometimes!) when you’ve got a Stampin’ Up! catalogue in front of you. There is SO MUCH inspiration to be had. For instance, just in this one card, I could have chosen the colour palette, been inspired by an element such as the roses in the card or the background stamping, gone for a vintage look. Instead I went for my favourite, the sketch.
Here is a closer look at this card which I CASEd ….
……and I just went all girly with butterflies and flowers!
I replaced the stamped panel of bikes with 3 equal panels of Regency Park Designer Series Paper, matte onto 2 layers of Petal Pink Cardstock. A gingham label sits on top of Night of Navy ribbon in keeping with the original card.
A butterfly from the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set coloured with Stampin’ Blends is the focal point in lieu of a jacket. This beautiful stamp set along with the coordinating dies are on our Last Chance sale right now.
The roses from the original card were replaced with some fussy cut flowers and leaves. I also added some die cut leaves from Basic White Cardstock around the butterfly. These were blended with Mint Macaron ink, creating a soft look.
Thank you for stopping by and visiting me here in Melbourne. I hope this has inspired you to flick through our catalogues and CASE those projects. If you would like a copy of the NEW catalogue, please request one HERE.

Hello and welcome to my little corner of the world in Melbourne, Australia. Great to have you here for our monthly, Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop. If you are stopping by from my friend Leonie Stuart’s blog, I’m sure you would have been inspired by her beautiful take on an Embossing Technique.
For my card, I started off with a heat embossed border using the Decorative Borders stamp set. Over the White embossing I blended Pear Pizzazz, Soft Succulent and Parakeet Party inks which created the embossing resist technique. I added a bit more blending in Coastal Cabana on the top part of the Stitched Rectangle panel.
Using the Stamparatus to position my Butterfly Brilliance stamp, I heat embossed the large butterfly in White. Then I coloured it in Balmy Blue, Granny Apple Green, Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay Watercolour Pencils. I used a Stampin’ Blend Color Lifted to blend sections of the colours.
On the card base I layered a piece of Vellum Basics and a layer of Basic White Cardstock embossed with the Hive Embossing Folder. Currently you can get this embossing folder free with a $90 order during Sale-A-Bration.
Inbetween the layers I also added some strips of Textured Shimmer Paper which adds a beautiful subtle textured look.
A wave die cut from Shimmer Vellum and some coordinating ribbon and Opal Dots complete my card with … a bit more embossing for the sentiment.
I hope you have enjoyed my embossing inspiration and give one of these techniques a try. Please get in touch with me if you have any questions. Don’t forget to follow our hop through for lots of beautiful creations and please leave us a comment as you stop by.
Next on our hop is the very talented Cheryll Miller.

Welcome to Technique Tuesday Blog Hop where we are sharing Masking Techniques with you. Don’t get confused by the title of this blog hop, it is indeed early hours of Wednesday morning in Melbourne!
There are so many Masking Techniques and I’m sure you are going to see a lovely variety through our hop today. I’ve chosen to use our Artistic Decorative Masks for my project. Masks (or stencils) are a great way to add depth without adding bulk to a project.
To create this background, I ink blended a Basic White Cardstock panel with Flirty Flamingo, Parakeet Party and Balmy Blue. Then I laid the mask over and reapplied the same colours through the mask which created this fun background.
This is a bit of a ‘twist’ for a Valentine’s Day card which you could make for next week using the Nothing’s Better Than stamp set. Take your pick of Cocktails, Cookies or Chocolates and add the coordinating images for a cute card.
I die cut the word ‘cocktails’ 3 times from White Cardstock gluing them all together. Then I die cut another from Black Cardstock gluing it slightly offset to form a shadow effect.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I hope this gives you inspiration for creating with Masks. Please follow the hop through for more fun ideas.

Oh what fun I’ve had creating this card using the cute Easter Bunny stamp set. I just got it in my latest Stampin’ Up! delivery and it’s the first time I’m playing with it.
I stamped the bunny in Sahara Sand and then coloured with Watercolor Pencils. For the body I used Crushed Curry with Early Espresso and Basic Gray adding some highlights and shadows. I added some Rich Razzleberry for a pink tint on her cheeks, ears and feet.
I stamped and coloured the left side of the body a second time. Fussy cutting and layering on top of the heart which had some Stampin’ Dimensionals under to pop it up, makes it look like the bunny is gifting a heart in keeping with our Love theme for the Global Design Project Challenge GDP379.
The soft floral Designer Series Paper added a lovely touch for this cute bunny card which uses the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches FMS571.
Although I’ve only used the stamp set for this card, this set also has a coordinating punch which you will want to order together to get the most out of this bundle and you also save 10% on the price. I’ve added the link below in the Product List. When your order reaches $90 you will qualify for a Sale-A-Bration reward plus my February tutorial bundle with 44 tutorials.

When it comes to a bit of fussy cutting, I’m up for the challenge. As soon as I saw this bouquet in the Awash with Beauty Designer Series Paper, it cried out to be fussy cut. So with my Paper Snips I took to creating this focal image for my card inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.
I used some Crumb Cake Cardstock scraps I had to create a border along the DSP panel.
I die cut some Vellum stems and coloured the back with an Old Olive Stampin’ Blend along with some die cut Mossy Meadow berries.
A heat embossed sentiment from the Ringed with Nature stamp set on Merry Merlot adds a nice contrast against the flowers. When you purchase the Ringed with Nature bundle you will automatically qualify for a free product from our Sale-A-Bration promotion.
To coordinate with the natural look of the Crumb Cake Cardstock I added some Linen Thread which I wrapped around my fingers 3 times to create a loop and tucked in under the bouquet with some Tear n’ Tape adhesive.
Until 31st August any orders of $90 will qualify for a Sale-A-Bration product. You will also receive a free tutorial bundle from me.
Do you have a huge Wish List and you want it all? Would you like to get your craft products at a minimum 20% discount? Then the Starter Kit is the best deal at $169. You get to choose $235 and until 31st August you get a bonus Planner Collection worth $79. This includes a Planner to December 2023 plus 3 journals and a stamp set.
