Hello and welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop for February. We have got a colour challenge this month using So Saffron, Sweet Sorbet, Tahitian Tide, Orchid Oasis and Shaded Spruce.
As soon as I saw the colours I thought of the Taco Fiesta stamp set. I created a stamped background using the large chilli image which I coloured with Sweet Sorbet and Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends. Then I ink blended the entire panel with So Saffron which gave the chillies a more orangey tone.
I then took a strip of the Balmy Blue striped sheet from the Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper and went over the lines with Tahitian Tide, Orchid Oasis and So Saffron Stampin’ Blends. I felt the So Saffron wasn’t dark enough so again I ink blended over the So Saffron areas with a Blending Brush. Although I did go over some of the blue areas, it didn’t alter the colour greatly and I was pleased with the result.
A layered up sentiment and a small fussy cut chilli complete this spicy card. Perhaps a fun take on a Valentine’s card?!!!

Oh what fun I’ve had creating this card using the cute Easter Bunny stamp set. I just got it in my latest Stampin’ Up! delivery and it’s the first time I’m playing with it.
I stamped the bunny in Sahara Sand and then coloured with Watercolor Pencils. For the body I used Crushed Curry with Early Espresso and Basic Gray adding some highlights and shadows. I added some Rich Razzleberry for a pink tint on her cheeks, ears and feet.
I stamped and coloured the left side of the body a second time. Fussy cutting and layering on top of the heart which had some Stampin’ Dimensionals under to pop it up, makes it look like the bunny is gifting a heart in keeping with our Love theme for the Global Design Project Challenge GDP379.
The soft floral Designer Series Paper added a lovely touch for this cute bunny card which uses the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches FMS571.
Although I’ve only used the stamp set for this card, this set also has a coordinating punch which you will want to order together to get the most out of this bundle and you also save 10% on the price. Hello and welcome to our New at SU Blog Hop for January. Our theme this month is Sale-A-Bration and a matching envelope. If you are coming over from Loni’s blog, I’m sure you would have been treated to something amazing. How cute are those carrots? Make sure you check out all the inspiration from our team using our fabulous SAB products.
I’ve used the beautiful In the Country stamp set which you can earn free with a $90 order during Sale-A-Bration. There are a range of products you can take your pick from and every $90 you spend will earn you a free product. This stamp set appealed to me right from the start.
I used the Layering Vellum Paper to create a vintage look for my cards with some ink blending.The stamped images were coloured with Watercolour Pencils which I just love working with.
I used the Biggest Wish stamp set to create my layered sentiments. Fussy cutting around a large sentiment and layering it makes it really stand out against these scenic images.
For my matching envelope I embellished them in 2 different ways. For the first card I embossed the flap with the Timber Embossing Folder to coordinate with my card. However, the embossing folder didn’t reach right to the top so I used a scrap piece of Mossy Meadow Cardstock to fix that (meant to be!).
For the second card I stamped the image and simply blended Cajun Craze ink lightly over it.

Do you ever wonder what to do with a stamp set like In the Country from our Sale-A-Bration catalogue? Large images of scenes which you could colour in but sometimes you may not have the time to spend colouring it all in.
A sketch such as this one from Freshly Made Sketches is a great way to highlight sections of a scene and lends itself to creating quick cards.
I stamped the scene twice in Cajun Craze and then die cut various sections using a circle die to form the sketch.
The colour palette was minimal making it a great masculine card.

I used the Beautifully Happy stamp set to create this card. This set is a FREE product which is available during Sale-A-Bration. This two-step stamp set gives you an outline image and the second set of stamps to ‘colour’ the inside. So it’s really quick to do multiples of this.
The background was embossed with the Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder. I added some swishes of watercolouring over it which just add a soft background under the flowers. To finish, I added some Burlap ribbon which is my favourite ribbon in the new Mini Catalogue and a few Brushed Brass Butterflies.

Welcome to Stamping Flair in Melbourne. Today, I’m taking party in the Crafty Collaborations Blog Hop and we are showcasing products from our new Mini Catalogue which launched on the 5th of January.
Coming from a musical family, the Enjoy the Rhythm stamp set was a ‘must have’ for me. There are so many fun musical images which can be coloured in and matched with the range of sentiments. My favourite – Treblemaker!
I coloured the drum set in a range of Watercolour Pencils – Coastal Cabana, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight and Basic Gray. I used the backing of the of the cling stamp as a mask, and stamped the stave of notes around the image in Bermuda Bay ink then blended Pale Papaya ink around the circle.
My colour palette has been inspired by the Colour Inkspiration colour challenge #135.
Some Pale Papaya ink was blended at the bottom of the card base to add depth. Around the tag I coloured the edge with the Calypso Coral Watercolour Pencil to create a simple border to coordinate.
