I created this card during the Stampin’ Up! demonstration for World Cardmaking Day. The wreath was created by watercolouring two squares of Shimmery White Cardstock with Old Olive ink and then die cutting the wreaths from them. This is such a quick and effective way to create this sweet card.

Hello and welcome to Day 27 of my Sketchtember Challenge. I’m creating with the Sweetest Cherries bundle which includes a stamp set and coordinating punch. The sentiments in this stamp set are bold and in a more handwritten style font which make for creating fun projects.
I created a vertical card which is not my norm as I felt the sketch was more to this style. So cut your Cardstock at 10.5 cm and score at 14.8 cm. The Gingham Cottage DSP is so versatile and I’ve been finding many uses for it with my projects of late.
The cherries were stamped in Real Red ink and then I added some extra shading with Real Red, Cherry Cobbler and Melon Mambo Watercolour Pencils. The leaves were punched from Mint Macaron Cardstockwhich I coloured with Old Olive and Coastal Cabana Watercolour Pencils to add shading and depth.
I’ve been using my Watercolour Pencils more and just love how easy it is to create shading with this colouring tool. They are at a low price point and you can get 2 assortments. I’ve got them in a cup style container right on my desk so I can easily access them any time which makes me use it even more.

Underneath I’ve stamped the Cardstock with some leaves from the Garden Grandeur stamp set in Basic Gray ink. Then I embossed the Cardstock with the Timber Embossing Folder. A fussy cut butterfly was added to resemble the sketch.

For today’s sketch I’ve used one of my favourite stamp sets – Speedy Recovery. You can get this stamp set on sale TODAY ONLY.
I stamped and coloured the image with Stampin’ Blends and added some of the Lights Aglow Specialty DSP. This paper has some foil detail on the one side and the other side is more plain lending itself for all occasions cards.
An ambossed background adds lovely texture for this pretty Get Well card.

Get Well cards are ones I don’t make many of but I find that I get many requests for these. I think it’s because when we need a Get Well card we generally need it in a hurry and don’t have time to make one. So for Day 12 of my Sketchtember Challenge I’ve created a sweet card sure to cheer someone using the Speedy Recovery stamp set.
This stamp set caught my eye when I first glanced through the Annual Catalogue. I really like the cute images and sentiments which are specifically for those laid up during their illness. I’ve combined it with the Eden’s Garden stamp set and coordinating dies.
To create the rounded corners of the square panels, I used the Essentials Tag punch and inserted the paper into the rounded corder.
The flowers were fussy cut from Perfectly Penciled DSP and coloured with Stampin’ Blends. Some added elements were also fussy cut from the Lovely in Linen DSP. I like adding these extra bits to my projects to create interest and layers.

As I look at today’s card for Sketcchtember Day 11 I feel it’s a bit shabby chic. I didn’t start out aiming for this but the sheet I chose from the Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper set the tone for it. Do you find the creative process taking you somewhere completely different to where you had planned? Isn’t that the fun of creating!
With a colour palette of Blushing Bride, Gray Granite and White this card has a soft look to it. I layered the vellum detailed wreath on a full wreath to make the script more visible. The wreath underweath was distressed on the edges with Gray Granite using a sponge dauber and I cut off any excess that was protruding in the centre from under the Vellum.
Some Blushing Bride leaves were stamped and die cut and interwoven with smaller silver leaves.
I added 2 small bits of ribbon with glue dots under the sprigs to give the effect of a bow. This gave it less bulk than having the knot of the bow in there (I did try it!). To top off my little foliage arrangement I added a cute bow which is part of the Country Wreath Dies.
