Celebrating World Watercolour Month with the Celebratory Sips Suite

Our July Card Creations Series features the Celebratory Sips suite. As July is World Watercolour month, for the first card this month, I shared a card which included creating a beautiful cocktail of drinks using this technique.

While I did use some of the Designer Series Paper and colours in the suite, I changed it up by adding Azure Afternoon. This gave it quite a different look and added a tropical feel to the card.

I started by die cutting the glasses from Fluid 100 and then watercolouring the ‘drinks’ with ink refills using a rather wet brush. Check the video below for all the tips I share for getting this look.

The stamped leaves, lime and strawberry were from the Cheers & Sips Bundle and were coloured in Stampin’ Blends. Then I added some detailed leaves from the Happy Hibiscus Dies to incorporate to my layout which add extra texture to the card. These little elements add interest and really enhance a project.
