What??? Yes, it can be done. That was the callenge over at As You See it Challenges.
Stampin’ Up! have several stamp sets that would work well for a quick floral creation. I chose the beautiful Painted Poppies stamp set. This set really lends itself to creating super quick cards with ‘blotchy’ fill in images – my all time favourite for adding quick colour.
I created the background by embossing Whisper White cardstock with the Pinewood Plank embossing folder, adding colour using the Direct to Paper technique. I just love a technique that gives a nice effect with little effort and this is one of those.
This card was stepped up by colouring the floral images with Lovely Lipstick and Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends.
This is the card I created on my Facebook Live. All I changed up was the glimmer dots and that brings out the Pear Pizzazz stamping more,
The sentiment is from the Peaceful Moments stamp set which has sentiments to suit all kinds of occasions. So you could create this same card in a variety of colours and have them ready to go.
Including die cutting, this entire card took me between 8-10 minutes to create. You can see me make this card in the video I’ve shared. The video is a little bit longer in length, only because there were operator issues!
The new catalogues are not far away so if you would like a copy, please fill in your details.

This is so sweet….I usually see cards made with the larger image, but this little row of flowers is perfect for a quick card! Love the Pinewood Plank background too…I need to try that direct-to-paper technique, haven’t done that in a while! Thanks for playing with As You See It’s Speed Stamping challenge this week!
I love this stamp in the poppy set Rochelle and almost used it myself for this challenge – it is so perfect for speed stamping! I love the added texture to the soft background and your bright poppies are beautifully framed – a fantastic speedily stamped card! Thanks for sharing with us over at As You See It this week!
I love this layout, Rochelle, and I’m a sucker for the wood grain texture in white cardstock, too! I’m so glad we get to keep that poppy set for another year. I just didn’t get enough time to use it, and your cards have inspired me! Thanks for getting your adrenaline pumping with our speed challenge at As You See It Challenges!
The poppy image is a great choice! It works so well with the Pinewood embossing folder. Amazing what can be achieved in such a short space of time. Thank you for playing along with us at As You See It.
