It’s our weekly Monochromatic Insta Hop with the Crafty Collaborations team and today our focus is Flirty Flamingo. With this colour I straightaway thought of the Share a Milkshake bundle.

I began with a die cut frame from the Scalloped Contours dies and stamped the rainbow from the Just My Type stamp set all over the piece. Then, using the Dark Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blend, I coloured around the border of the frame to create a faux matte.

I die cut one of the ice cream swirls from Basic White Cardstock. For the other, I coloured the stamp with a Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Write Marker then spritzed it with water and stamped it onto Basic White Cardstock. Once I die cut it, I splattered it with Light Smoky Slate dots by flicking the brush tip of the Stampin’ Blend against the cap. This gave me 2 different textures (or flavours) of ice cream.

I felt the ice cream needed a background which it would really pop against so I die cut a circle from a background that was created using strips of Cardstock and DSP. This is a fun way to use up some scraps. I used a leftover piece on the sentiment as well.
I die cut a cherry from Basic White and Rose Gold Cardstock, colouring the white one with Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends. Once I trimmed this, I added it on top of the Rose Gold die cut making this truly the ‘cherry on top’ of my card.

I hope you have been inspired with what I have shared today and can use some of the techniques in your creations. Thank you for taking the time to stop by. A product list is available below and you can shop these products in my Online Store or by getting in touch with me.
