A favourite colour of mine – Pool Party – is the colour in focus for the Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Insta Hop this week. What I love about Pool Party is that it coordinates with just about any other colour. For me, it acts as another neutral. The soft blue just blends so beautifully with different colours or designs.
A perfect colour for snow, I felt this snowman image was just right for this card. I coloured the snowman using a Blender Pen and Pool Party ink refill. The scarf and hat were coloured with Stampin’ Blends and I added some check details with the Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blend.
The tree and sled were coloured in Stampin’ Blends. Around the die cut rectangle I added some ink blending with a Blending Brush. I loved how this image turned out in a monochromatic palette.
I added a snowflake circle die cut from the Joyful Images Mix & Match Ephemera Pack which brings in this entire scene together. To adorn the tree I used some Ombre Matte Dots which I had actually forgotten to use in a while and they were the perfect size to add as an ornaments.
