Have you had stamp sets in your stash which retire never having known what ink is? Me too. I’ve been going through some of these stamp sets trying to use them. For my weekly Live this week I thought it’s time to use the Nuts About Squirrels stamp set which I hadn’t opened. This set is now on the Last Chance list so I’m glad I used it this week.
I wanted to create an autumn card with more soft colours using my old favourite Mint Macaron (sob, sob) and Fresh Freesia. Mint Macaron is saying goodbye to us and I will miss it.
My card has been inspired by the sketch at The Paper Players challenge.
I created a watercoloured panel on the right and an embossed panel for the left. The Nuts About Squirrels is a two-step stamp set, I added some extra shading using Stampin’ Blends.
The large leaf from the Aspen Dies and the branches which are die cut from our specialty paper create more texture for this cute squirrel.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you liked my alternate look to an autumn card. Please sign up for my Newsletter to be kept upto date with our latest products offerings, receive an exclusive tutorial weekly and other fun stuff.
