Welcome to this week’s CASEing the Catty Sunday Challenge blog hop.. For CTC495 we are CASEing any die project from either of the Stampin’ Up! Annual or Mini Catalogues.
I am CASEing the double die cut look of this card on Page 53 of the Annual Catalogue which uses the Unbounded Love dies. For today’s card I have used the label die from the Regal Flora dies to replicate this look.
To create the background, I watercoloured a piece of Fluid 100 Cardstock with Summer Splash and Crumb Cake ink refills. Then I die cut the label, using both the inner and outlines to create the sketch.
I had fun layering several pieces of ephemera to create the focal element. This seems like cheating because ephemera makes it super easy to create a multi-layered project like this.
Even the sentiment wsa from an ephemera pack and it’s gold embossed! A lovely large bow from Gold Twisted thred sits under the paper bow and some Peppermint embellishments add the finishing touches to this card.

The Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic challenge featured colour this week is Calypso Coral. An old favourite and part of our Subtles range, Calypso Coral is a good all-rounder colour that blends really well with other colours whether it be same tones or some brighter colours for fun looks. I surprised myself by ending up with the Trusty Tools stamp set in front of me for this particular colour.
Why? you may ask. My go to for Calypso Coral would probably have been flowers but in these challenges I try to use different stamp sets and I as far as I could remember, Trusty Tools had yet to be used. So, we were painting the town, Calypso Coral!
I went for a clean look with lots of white space, choosing patterns and texture to add depth to my card.
The stamp set is a two-step set however I chose to colour my paint brush in Stampin’ Blends, even adding some paint stains down the brush.
Industrial Trinkets (the masculine bling!) completes this rather quick card which is perfect for the handyman in your life.

Hi friends, Welcome to this week’s CASEing the Catty Sunday Challenge. For CTC494 we are CASEing a sketch from the beautiful Splendid Autumn suite in the Stampin’ Up! September-December Mini Catalogue.

New product alert!
I got some new goodies this week and I thought I’d use them for the first time on this card. The Happy Hibiscus bundle will be available for purchase on the 5th of November as part of our Online Exclusives range. Demonstrators had the opportunity to purchase this a month earlier in pre-order.
This bundle includes a stamp set and a hybrid die set and embossing folder. It’s simply beautiful.
The stamp set is a two-step stamp set which means that you can stamp the outline and then there is a separate stamp to fill-in the inside with colour. This makes colouring an image very quick. What I found with this particular set was that it was extra easy to line up those images as well.
Now, if you are a colouring enthusiast, like me, you can choose to colour those images as well. However, in this case, I went with stamping. I did add some extra detail on the flowers and the leaves with Watercolour Pencils which adds some lovely highlights.
To form the rectangle part of the sketch, I die cut a label from the Flowering Zinnias Designer Series Paper using the Radiating Stitches dies and trimmed off part of the die cut. Then I layered the flowers and leaves on top of it. The sentiment was die cut with the label die which comes in the bundle and layered on a couple of strips of paper from the same pack.
I embellished my card with some Twisted Gold Thread (another new product you will LOVE) and sequins in multiple colours.
