Happy Saturday friends, Welcome to this week’s Monochromatic colour challenge for the Crafty Collaborations Insta Hop. Today we have a beautiful soft gray, Smoky Slate, which has almost a silver tinge. I am using the Attention Shoppers Bundle to feature some variations of this colour on my card.
The first secction I worked on was the polka dots. It’s been a while since I used this technique and it was so much fun. Just take a sponge dauber, tab it into the ink pad and dot away on your project! Such a great way to add a background and if you haven’t tried it, go get your Sponge Daubers!
A thin strip of Silver Foil separates the Take to the Sky patterned paper on top from the polka dots.
I stamped 2 shopping bags, colouring one with Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends and paper piecing the other with the Country Lace Designer Series Paper. Paper Piecing offers a fun way to add designs to elements.
Around the shopping bags, I added some cut apart ephemera flowers and leaves in simple black and white to fill in and add depth to my card.
I used 2 sentiments from the Saying Something Mix & Match Ephemera Pack, colouring the bottom one with a Dark Basic Black Stampin’ Blend. These sentiments were offset and then glued to the card, giving the letters a shadow effect. Some Silver Metallic gems complete this card, adding a touch of sparkle.
I hope my card today inspires you to try some of these techniques and create something today. Our Designer Series Paper sale continues until 31st August where you can get 15% off on a select range of patterned papers. Shop by clicking below or contact me to place an order.
Have a lovely weekend.

I’ve had some fun creating this class for you using the Attention Shoppers bundle. When I first saw this set, I must say I loved the shopping cart and the shopping bag but I wasn’t so sure about the other images. However, I’ve had so much fun creating with these images and had so many ideas that I just had to limit myself to the 4 projects for this class. I know you are going to have such a fun experience as you create the cards in this class.
The Attention Shoppers bundle is one of our smaller bundles but I can tell you it is packed with creative inspiration. The stamp set has lots of images and sentiments and I love the fonts they are in. The die set has 7 dies. Most of these images can be easily fussy cut except for the shopping cart pieces. Note that the shopping cart stamp is a different size to the die, so you are actually getting 2 different images to work with which gives you even more options.
In this class you will get a range of ideas to use the stamps and dies in creative ways. To complete the class as I have designed, you will require the bundle. The bundle is discounted until the 30th of June and can be purchased for $61.50 (usual price $69.25).
You will create 4 cards including 1 that is a gift card holder – after all, with a bundle such as this, a gift card for a shopping spree is inevitable! When you purchase on of my class kits, you will get a kit to create all 4 cards. You can participate in this class by selecting one of the options below. Kits can be ordered Australia wide and the PDF tutorial is available for sale worldwide.
Kit price includes
Card bases
Envelopes
Designer Series Paper
Cardstock
Die cut and Embossed Cardstock (outside of the featured bundle)

Register for class and select from one of the options below. Option 2 includes the Attention Shoppers bundle and you get the kit at a discounted price. Note the bundle is also discounted until 30th June.
Please note that as per Stampin’ Up! policy, stamped images aren’t included in the kit. Orders will be placed on 30th June and classes shipped upon receipt of goods.
I look forward to sharing this beautiful class with you. If you have any questions, please get in touch with me on Ph: 0404 255 001 or email: rochelle@stampingflair.com
Welcome to the Caseing the Catty Sunday Challenge Blog Hop CTC472. Today’s challenge is to CASE a project from the Take to the Sky Suite in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue. This suite was the first one I purchased from this catalogue. I loved that it was a masculine themed suite and i really liked the DSP which had some tags and individual images which could be used on projects.
Today, I’ve CASED a technique which is demonstrated on Page 36 of the catalogue with the repeated die cuts used to create an interesting background.
I used the Heartfelt Hexagon punch to create the background, punching out several shapes from Basic White Cardstock, Then I embossed them with the Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder. These were adhered to a Basic White matte layer.
EMBOSSING FOLDER TECHNIQUE
To replicate the centre DSP panel in the original card, I added another embossed punched hegaxon on top. I coloured the background of this shape with the Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend. Then I coloured the flowers with Lemon Lime Twist and Peach Pie Stampin’ Blends adding some lighter shading with Granny Apple Green and Calypso Coral Watercolor Pencils.
Instead of having this as an inlaid panel, I mounted this on top of the shape underneath, adding Stampin’ Dimensionals to give it more depth.
The cake from the Attention Shoppers bundle was coloured with Stampin’ Blends. I felt this image looked a bit lost on it’s own so I added some flowers and leaves around it. The floweres were die cut from the Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper while the die cut leaves were lightly watercoloured in Lemon Lime Twist for an organic look.
A bow, coloured with the Dark Peach Pie Stampin’ Blend, brings my little cluster of elements together.
Thank you for taking the time to stop by my blog. Next on our hop is my friend Rochelle Blok who will have some beautiful inspiration for you.
